The Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK), a prominent Dalit party in Tamil Nadu led by Thol. Thirumavalavan, has historically been considered a sympathizer of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE). There are posters of VCK chirf with LTTE leader Prabhaksran. So Rahul Gandhi ihas always been supporting a DMK or now TVK Govt that is supported by. Sympathizers of Rajiv Gandhi killers. Laanat hain! These people will sell their own mother for power. Thol. They provided some external support to land the hijacked plane in Kandahar. And now they are totally anti-Pakistan so diplomatically it makes sense. Banned in India LTTE is a terrorist organization. It was not only Rajeev Gandhi that died, many Indian citizens died then. No wonder the Gandhis were involved in pardoning his killers and there was a PIL against it. Eps himself is probably finished. Might just stay outside gov and try to push his son. This all outside support raita cannot last 5 years. Form gov, engage the admk or call fresh elections. He has 6 months to do that. Once jaya passed away and ttv and sasi split many thought gov of eps wont survive. But eps took shelter under the bjp gov. So eps had a godfather who kept dmk at bay. One can argue it started the long term downfall of admk but they got the whole 5 years. Eps ended with 66 and full control of admk given he had most mlas from kongu. Allowed him to kick out any challenger from ops to others. Vijay is right to take cong support cause he needs patronage+ minorities votes mean bjp is toxic to him. But he needs to start signalling to admk to dilute the influence of cong. Else shah is not going to make it easy for him. Likes of velumani close to many in central bjp. Bjp likely to leave tn alone if they can confirm cong are not in a position to leverage seats and money in the state to use for ls and fight elections elsewhere. coffee_rules 1

Just to add to this Admk alliance has never worked for bjp. Neither under jaya nor eps. Bjp alliances with cbn or tmc have produced better yields. Only time alliance has worked for bjp in tn is with dmk in the 98 to 00 period for ls elections. A lot of tn bjp leaders like tamilisai pushed the narative to Shah and Goyal that had bjp combined with admk they would have won ls seats in ls 24. I think Shah wanted to focus on wb alone and did not want distractions. Fighting 234 seats (or close so) meant diversion of resources and needed more rallies from top bjp figures. So he said ok to the admk alliance and withdrew annamalai. If annamalai comes back then we can say this election was used by shah to clean house. Had bjp fought with annamalai they would have got 6 to 7 % and 0 to 3 seats in a vijay wave. Better than now but then these leaders would ask for alliance with admk for lok sabha. coffee_rules 1

A Marathi named Sivaji Rao Gaekwad became Rajinikanth there, and Dhoni is treated like son of the soil, the fan worship is so crazy that he has even more stardom than Sachin, Kohli despite being nowhere close to them in cricket achievements.
