maniac Posted May 28 Posted May 28 Like this guy. Seems like a bowler with brains and has skills. Decent pace but looks like has potential to improve. can be in the scheme of things. Only uncapped bowler (pacers + spinners) that impressed me. Also remeber he played on some absolute pattas against some good t20 hacks. Manucrick, nevada, tweaker and 1 other 4
vvvslaxman Posted May 28 Posted May 28 In T20 format fast bowler rotation should be mandatory. This guy and prince Yadav should be in the reckoning. Bumrah should focus on Tests. He helped us win 2 world cups. Would be a travesty if he doesn't get to 300 wickets. Manucrick, daryl1985, nevada and 2 others 2 3

Yes forgot Prince Yadav. 2 bowlers who impressed. distant 3rd, don’t hate me for saying this but I feel Deshpande can be good in odi format. I don’t know much about his red ball skills but I think he has a fc 100.

Nikhil_cric Posted May 28 Posted May 28 He looks athletic but I don't know how this guy is going to go in the long term . The guy has massive lateral flexion and his action is all over the place imo. I don't see the hype for this guy at all. Longevity and long format cricket is completely out of the window for this guy

Unless Test cricket becomes as lucrative as T20 cricket (or at least somewhat close to it), no one will focus just on it. Not what fans want to hear, but that is completely understandable from a player-perspective and what every fan will do for themselves if they had the talent and opportunity to make more money. BCCI needs to up the ante on red-ball payments if they want to create a strong pool of test-specialists. No other way to do this.
tapandrun Posted May 28 Posted May 28 Prnce yadav had a 2nd good ipl season , though in 1st season he was quicker clocking early 140 kmph and on effort ball reaching upto 145 kmph. This season his pace was down 135-141 kmph, but bowled well. Sakib has lot of white-ball potential, have to wait for 1 more ipl season to see if is good or not, he was new this season and batters didnt know his tricks and next season batters will have some plan then will have to see how he bowls then. But he has hyper-extention similar to bhurah and is bowling similar pace which bhumrah was operating in his 1st ipl season BacktoCricaddict 1

Ind is down to 2 pacers, need multiple pacers for all the formats. Order and sequencing can be figured later but need to create atleast a bench of 8-10 pacers across the formats. Do not look for all format bowlers looks for few specilist and few who can world class in 2 formats -- Odi+Test, and Odi+T20s and few t20 specialist. Need4Speed 1
Suhaan Posted May 29 Posted May 29 Lot depends on next season,if he does similarly well he will be in the reckoning He looked tad better than Prince,a very deceptive slower one which he has enough to set him apart from others Pace 135-140+ is also acceptable It's good to have 3-4 T20 specialist pacers to go for but none of them can bat, that's a kind of deal breaker tapandrun and Need4Speed 2
