Every team needs a counter attacking batsman in these conditions.  Travis head won a couple of tests in very challenging conditiosn with counter attackig knocks. Harry brook has done a couple. NZ's only option is Glen philips. He bats way down the order. He should be promoted should NZ entertain any chance. This is not the oval pitch where Pathum Nissanka had a day out in 4th innings.

It started on day 1 itself. They will try to deflect by talking about slope, "usually..." kind of talks.  Lords has never been reported as "unsatisfactory" .
