Had Heard Manav Suthar may join as well & has cut his county stint short.

Ideally both Jaiswal and Suthar should have been playing these games.

Pace attack should be

Gurnoor

Thakur/Nabi

My guess is they will pick Nabi for first game.

Sucks to have Gaikwad playing

SL conditions don't warrant a 3 pace attack especially Galle but you never know Cumbhoj may sneak in defying the odds

I just found out there is a match today lol I bet nobody willbe quing to see the batting mastery of Ruturaj gaikwad in the test. Mokhade is one guy i want to see also Yash Thakur. Recent form is very good.

The call that raised eyebrows was the inclusion of Zeeshan Ansari, a leg-spinner from Uttar Pradesh. He hasn’t played a single first-class match since January 2020 and his inclusion over the likes of R Sai Kishore, Shams Mulani and Tanush Kotian did come as a surprise.

If the idea was to test a leg-spinner, Mayank Markande and Rahul Chahar could have been given a chance.

Having Harsh Dubey and Manav Suthar in the squad would have given them a taste of not just Sri Lankan conditions, but also a bowl with the Kookaburra ball. With a different seam to that of the SG which they are familiar with, giving the two left-arm spinners an exposure in Galle would have been ideal preparation for the Test series where one of the two is expected to start.

Zeeshan Ansari did very well in ODIs. They have picked him for this format.  Ideally he should have played in the ODI series. SInce they wanted vipraj's batting they went with him.

Is sarfaraz injured or ignored? Bro deserves a shot

Ideally he should have been in atleast in A squad.

But it looks like the team management only want Sai and don't want to have any competition.

Zeeshan Ansari picked because he can spin the ball.
