No, Pak is ranked well below us.  Ideally Asian Games should have been a high stakes clash that would give an outside shot to Pak BD SL for Direct qualification for LA28.

 

Field Hockey has similar arrangement.  India will likely will Gold and qualify for LA28

SKY wasnt even a captain in the IPL but they made him the captain and it worked wonderfully two things work for SKY he is a players captain who listens to players and talks to the bowlers regularly and he was a respected senior member of the T20 team Iyer doesnt have any of that Iyer last played T20s in 2023 he was never in the decision making group in the T20 team they picked a guy from outside the T20 core membership we saw what happened in MI when Pandya was brought in from nowhere and team bonding was gone and we saw yesterday how he threw Bishnoi under the bus Virat MSD Rohit even Gill never did that they always back their own players throwing players under the bus is Pakistan style it will break the team

Patidar he is basically echo of AndyFlower. He didn't really do anything.

Paragh data driven AI captain. 

Gill is slightly above average

 

Among all one guy who was doing it from behind it is Dhruv Jurel. Not a T20 guy. But most of the paragh's decisions were direct influence of Jurel. He helped him every step of the way when there is no data.Too bad not a T20 player.

Ishan, Samson, etc are struggling because of the politics of an outsider captain. Same reason why bumrah, Rohit etc struggled after Pandya was made captain of MI. 

 

Insecurity and politics will always affect form of players.
