I did not see today’s match live, but going by past observations, I get a sense Jadeja is simply overwhelmed when he goes out to bat in the middle, so much so that he completely loses faith in his abilities. Maybe he needs a pep or two from guys like Sachin and Sehwag. Btw, this no.7 spot is turning out to be quite a worry for us.

I am also surprised to see zero confidence in Jadeja when he goes out to bat.. even Nehra has got more confidence than him.. he has made sufficient runs in domestic and IPL too and so it is not that he cannot bat at all.. but dont know why is he afraid like anything.. in bowling and fielding he is extremely confident and that reflects in his performance as well

Something to do with lack of range. He probably is good enough to play in certain areas. When it is restricted he just gets stuck. Yusuf pathan also fails because of lack of range despite possessing good hitting power.

ok, he's not an all-rounder. atleast, not playing like one. we are using him as a fifth bowler. i think we have better spinners than him. not that he has done anything wrong with the ball, but if he's just playing as a spinner and batting below Bhajji, we can atleast pick up a better bowler.....
