kabira Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 his 175 against Aussies chasing huge score is still his best knock. I cried that day when we lost. I normally don't care much but that game we should have won for little master. It reminded me off chennai. I wish it was in winning cause. we probably would have drawn the series.
Cricketics Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 Offcourse, Undoubtedly it is. Any knock while chasing a big target would perhaps automatically qualify for a better knock. Infact some might go on an extent and say his pair of 140 odd were better then today's knock.
Jersey #10 Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 Scoring 200 is above all. Everything about this inning was right and divine. He played a very stupid shot to get out at 175 against OZ and for that very reason I will rank this 200 over that 175
Guest Hiten. Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 No questions about it. It has to be one of the best ODI innings leave aside his own. Gibbs' 180 odd comes above him as his team successfully chased down record target whereas SRT's teammates did not show up and IIRC only one batsman managed to score 50 other than SRT.
Zelig Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 For me his two innings in the VB finals are the best I have seen him bat.
hatja_tau Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 ^^ CB, Victoria Bitter is out, its Commonwealth Bank now! :D
Zelig Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 ^^ CB' date=' Victoria Bitter is out, its Commonwealth Bank now! :D[/quote'] Yeah, watever:D
Temujin Khaghan Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 his desert-storm is his best by a mile. because he looked very mortal then. it was very thrilling because he could get out any moment then. but todays 200* was more godly. i mean... i somehow felt there was no way he was gonna get out. it was like sachin playing with cheat codes. it wasnt as thrilling. it was like something which just had to happen.

Anakin Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 One of the most memorable innings for me was 80-odd under serious swing conditions in Pak.
Sachinism Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 Desert storm 98 vs Pak 200 175 CB Series 163 97 @ gwalior
ludhianvi Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 Was this where he got out needing 19 off 18? :hmmm:
Shane Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 Personal fav is still the 143, the 175 comes close though. :D
PaiN_KiLLeR Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 His 6 best ODI knocks according to cricinfo: 134 v Australia, Sharjah, 1997-98 143 v Australia, Sharjah, 1997-98 141 and 4 for 38 v Australia, Dhaka, 1997-98 98 v Pakistan, Centurion, 2003 117 not out v Australia, Sydney, 2007-08 175 v Australia, Hyderabad, 2009-10
coffee_rules Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 98 v Pak gives me goosebumps even now. Those upper cuts from Akhtar and Waqar made them gasp.
vvvslaxman Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 This was a chanceless knock. No reverse sweeps. Not many paddle sweeps. Clinically executed. Yes you would say 175 is a better knock considering it was achieved while chasing.
