Looking at the squad, I hope Ind plays on pitches that are like what they are in the sub-continent, in that way bouncer is not that big a threat to our bats and spinners come in to play more Otherwise we have the following who can be bounced out: Yuvi, Raina, Yusuf, Rohit and Jadeja :nervous: Talking these^ guys as slot fillers, who could contribute occasionally, Ind would have to rely mainly on Viru, GG and Dhoni, along with Karthik (if he makes it to the playing 11). As for bowling, Zak, PK, Bhajji and Jadeja will have to shoulder the burden, along with Nehra/Vinay providing support. I haven't seen Chawla bowl much lately, except for a few overs in IPL, so it's difficult to comment on his selection Ideal Playing 11 (for the first two games): - Viru - GG - Karthik - Yuvi - Dhoni - Raina ( or YP) - Jadeja (or YP) - Bhajji (or YP) - Vinay (or Nehra) - Zak - PK

Irfan's bowling has nothing to ride home about so his omission is justified, on WI pitches going by current trend spinners are playing more role than fast bowlers.So yousuf makes more sense in playing eleven.

if both of them play Praveen kumar has to sit, going on current form he is far better bowler to start the innings than Irfan,

that is not a fixed batting order.it is the order assuming everything goes well n the pitch is flat.if we lose 2 early wickets then MSD can come in for consolidation

Why not have DK (Karthik) at 3? He is good against both pace (opened in tests) and spin. Having Viru, GG and Karthik in top 3 makes a good top order w/o too many weaknesses.

DK may come as a finisher. In all probability DK might play coz last time Rohit failed in West Indies but DK played reasonably better as an opener.

that would be gamble.I would keep Zak specially for death overs n bowl Yusuf,Jadeja with him.they r pretty good with thier darts
