I watched Insidious a few years ago that was ok but nothing great (think theres a part 2 out soon) same with Sinister last year which also got good reviews but while it made you jump it was not Paranormal class..

In that genre Rosemary's Baby is just twice the movie and does not get a tenth of the hype that the Exorcist does. Exorcist was without doubt a very good movie, but scary? Meh!

I'm not sure about being scary but its a bit like Evil Dead (horror/dark humor) and its one of the decent horror films I've seen recently. Its a genre which is inherently a bit silly and hard to find good films unless you are a fan of horror.
