Number Posted April 19, 2012 Posted April 19, 2012 any one impressed ? hitting speeds of 138 , not bad for a swing bowler & all rounder . hes only 21 yrs old haven't seen his batting much but if he can improve it , can be a good contender for no. 7 place in overseas conditions. As we know Jadeja is not good enough outside India.
vvvslaxman Posted April 19, 2012 Posted April 19, 2012 He hits the deck hard. But nothing special. More like Pankaj sharma dude. Another trundler
Number Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 Bowling well so far in this IPL. Also got to bat in 2-3 games though only few deliveries. To me he looks better all rounder than Pakistani guy Hammad.
koksmayu Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 must be selected for allrounder name b.kumar bhubneshwar kumar records best among new upcoming yougster he got many plus points like just 21 yr old, good batting average and very good bowling ave. i think its rare talent all rounder india should be looking for http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/content/player/326016.html
someone Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 He is Praveen Kumar mould as far as bowling goes. Can Swing In and Out. Great wrist position etc. This. Younger version of Praveen.
The Outsider Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 How come he has played only 26 List A matches? He has played a decent number of FC matches - 37.
CG Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 This. Younger version of Praveen. He is far better batsman than p.k is or can be.Can be a decent allrounder in odis.
MCcricket Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 B Kumar is a better option then PK and VK can bat also a good bowler as he can swing and seam from close to stumps also has upped his pace around mid 130's,still needs to improve his batting and bowling a bit and can be in the picture for shorter version. If he can bowl between 135 to 140 k and be a bit more consistent as far as batting, he can take wickets as he can move the ball and has an easy action also is young can improve. He has a simliar action to Hilfy and can make some improvements.
adi B Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 useless bowler...sometimes might bowl a good spell upfront with the new ball nd maybe pick one or two wikets, but will get clobbered in the end just like pk...his economy would be close to 6, average around 36-37, less than 1 wicket per match..all in all shouldnt be selected for indian side this is the stats of pk in odis nd test, just check the odi stat nd tell me why nd on what basis is this guy selected in the side .http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/content/player/30732.html i just checked on agarkar`s odi stats , heck even this guy is zillion times better, compare the avergae nd strike rate nd economy http://www.espncricinfo.com/india/content/player/26184.html
Number Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/current/match/574147.html Good innings by him of 120 not out when CZ were trailing by more 190 and 7 down. Took them close to taking the lead.
Lord Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 he should be in ODI squad, swing the ball both ways at decent pace plus a decent lower order bat.we should be looking for these type of bowlers.all of our bowlers r crap anyways, better pick someone can bat n is young
Trundler27 Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 Seems to be like Irfan is in our current LOI setup. So we should use whoever is in better form among the two; as a seeming all-rounder adds much better balance to the LOI side compared to useless jaddu Such guys deserve a chance ahead of punks like rohit
Lord Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 Couldnt put bat to ball in NZ. expected.even specialist batsmen tend to fail there sometimes on thier first trip
saneindian Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 Couldnt put bat to ball in NZ. 3 innings, 6* in the 1st ODI, out for a first ball duck in the 2nd ODI and scored 23 in the only innings of thew FC match he played. Not sure if that can be called as couldn't put bat to ball.
rkt.india Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 3 innings' date=' 6* in the 1st ODI, out for a first ball duck in the 2nd ODI and scored 23 in the only innings of thew FC match he played. Not sure if that can be called as couldn't put bat to ball.[/quote'] But can you consider him a genuine alrounde? I cant. Will have him in your team as a specialist bowler or because he is bowler who can bat?
saneindian Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 But can you consider him a genuine alrounde? I cant. Will have him in your team as a specialist bowler or because he is bowler who can bat? Not yet. But at 21 he has plenty of time. Also his batting style at the moment is suited more to the longer version but he did hit some aggressive shots today. So as he grows in age, gains more confidence who knows what lies ahead. Has got the skills, how far he goes only time will tell.
Number Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 But can you consider him a genuine alrounde? I cant. Will have him in your team as a specialist bowler or because he is bowler who can bat? So from "can't put bat on the ball" to "not a genuine all rounder" :winky:
Lord Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 But can you consider him a genuine alrounde? I cant. Will have him in your team as a specialist bowler or because he is bowler who can bat? a bowler who can bat.our 'specialist' bowlers r no better in bowling anyway
