Steyn is really good, an all time great without doubt. However, he is not up there with McGrath, Hadlee, Akram and Marshall. Those guys were a class apart from my view. He is the best South African bowler though.

Steyn hasnt played in SL for a while.was a much poorer bowler in 2006 when he did. other than that,he only struggled in 2 Tests in UAE. McGrath was better,but not that much.anyway McGrath would me one of the first names for me in ATG list Steyn though is defenitely better than Akram

Mcgrath is uncomparable as a fast bowler across all formats. In test cricket it's neck and neck, Steyn clearly more dominant while Mcgrath was more consistent. Glenn Mcgrath was the greatest big match player in the history of cricket.
