"And in my childhood we used to listen to Gavaskar's batting on a radio. That is asli cricket and you people are the most gullible lot this country has seen. Anything can be marketed to you youngsters" Been there. Heard that. :haha: well, that IS the real cricket......just see the kind of cricket in the recent India SA test series....is it even possible to have such high quality in Tontee-Tontee. IMO T20 is only entertainment. As Navjot Singh Sidhu says ""If one-day cricket was pyjama cricket, then Twenty20 is underwear cricket." :haha:

My love is solely for the IPL. :heart: It has popularized the game beyond even Lalit Modi's wildest expectations. When the IPL is on everyone is discussing just that. I stay 45 mins (peak hour traffic) from Wankhede/Brabourne. My college was very close to both.But I've never attended a test game in my life, and attended only 3-4 ODIs. Most of the crowd for these games were the rowdy types. In just 3 ( 2 actually, as one was in South Africa) seasons of IPL, I have already attended 10 games. Even though the tickets are muuuuuch more expensive. IPL in a stadium is like a big party with friends, music, lots of people cheering, very festive moods, bollywood people around, almost no bitterness/ bottle throwing/swearing that one sees in ODIs and cricket is just an additional entertainer. IPL has increased the mass appeal of cricket multiple fold. good!! But between all the good stuff, cricket gets boring sometimes in the IPL due to overdose and bat dominating the ball all the time. it is distracting for upcoming cricketers who could be good in test match format and injury-risking for the established players. Plus, the IPL doesnt give anything to the real cricket:P, i.e. the test cricket. None of the ipl players can make it to the test team based on the ipl show. Other than that, IPL is awesome.

But the England series might be the last matches for Dravid or even God(hopefully not). Im predicting he will retire after Australia series(in tests). And australia series are always intense on and off the pitch, for the past decade.

Ya Security is not good enough at Lahore/Islamabad airport and hence pakistani playres will be kept away from local airports. PCB is looking to arrange if they players can go by boat.

I've been to a game at the Brabourne stadium, when I got near the pavilion seats for Rs 500 just 15 mins before the start of the game. I've also paid Rs 3000 for a not so great seat for the IPL 3 final, in spite of buying the ticket a week in advance. The cost varies according to the importance of the game. to Sachin=God and Vaibhav_Delhi Why should IPL give back to real cricket? I don't understand the logic. IPL doesn't owe anything to real/test cricket and is under no obligation to give anything back to it.
