Munaf is glassman... fully expect Sreesanth to shoulder some serious responsibility in this tourney
all our pacers are made of glass,it wouldnt surprise me one bit if another one breaks down and we bring in the great ishant into the team.

I think this will make our WC win (if we manage to win it) only more creditable. We will become the first team in the history of cricket to win a WC, despite carrying one of the worst ODI bowlers EVER, in the squad.

justice? Praveen was a much better ODI bowler than Sree
what the hell are you taking about praveen kumar has the worst average of fast bowlers playing in india he averages 61 and economy of 6.he is useless in india period

It was destiny's call for Sreesanth. Praveen Kumar clocks 115kph to 122kph in India where some of the dart spinners like Afridi and Vettori would bowl faster. Sree played a huge roll in India winning the '07 TT world cup. Who forgets the run out for 10th wicket during the India vs Pakistan league games? and who can forget the last catch of Misbah to win the big game? It's destiny Lets win it :yay:

wont make much of a difference, altho PK is a better ODI bowler than Sree. Sree will leak runs, but will get a few crucial wickets, but he may be the 4th choice seamer and not even play a game.

PK is a better cricketer overall and can bowl to his field. Sree in ODIs tends to go flat out and leaks a lot of runs in trying to overattack (series vs SA earlier this year). Hopefully he has learned from the experience and will continue the good work he did in ODIs vs NZ.

We are not playing Tests, this is one dayers and Praveen is the better bowler in that format. So, this is a loss for India, though like Rajiv said, its not like we lost Malcolm.

This whole episode is very shady. PK gets injured and will be out for the entire duration of the tournament? Between now and the time the tournament ends is nearly 3 months. How did this happen? Why the need to exclude PK from the squad. He could have been a reservist and played when fit. Just doesn't add up.

Conspiracy theory :cantstop: Nothing shady there, Praveen was injured even during the selection, he didn't play the entire SA series. Selectors took a chance hoping that he'll recover in time, he didn't recover, so he gets replaced. We can't go to Worldcup with one pacer injured which means we'll have no replacement if any one pacer gets injured during the tournament. And of course, where did you get this 3 months stuff? WC starts on 19th feb and ends on 2nd April.

his career economy is 6.that means wen hes going for run-ball,hes not doing bad by his standards.nothing more needs to be said. batsmen just need to take initial risks,if they come off,Sree will get angry n try all sorts of things n be a buffet of over 7 runs per over atleast. pathetic option, not just bad, would have preferred even Agarkar

Sreesanth can't be used during power-plays or in death overs , he is utter rubbish in power-plays where he bowl some nice juicy half volleys or hit-me length balls. His quota should be finished off in middle overs when filed is spread.

Here’s a guy who has little to NO understanding of what it takes to bowl in an ODI and we are saying he is the 4th best seaming option we have in the country, for the ODIs? What happened to RP Singh, or even Agarkar? I would even go to the extent of picking Vinay Kumar, who has at least ODI bowler-ish credentials. I cant stress this point enough – Sreesanth is a ticking time bomb in ODIs and T20s. He has the ability to single-handedly swing the entire match momentum with some horrendous bowling. He should be nowhere near a potential ODI slot.
