kubrickian Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Did well in NZ. Wonder what went wrong. He scored when pitches were roads. McCullum scored a triple century in one of those games. He looked all out of sorts in SA and now in England. He doesnt seem like he will survive let alone score runs even when there is a little swing or bounce or seam movement.

May be he wasn't tested that much there. He is repeatedly getting exposed in that area. Not the tightest technique you are going to see. Also a compulsive stroke player. So he just doesn't know which one to leave which one to defend which one to attack.

Can learn a thing or two from Vijay about ball leaving. Fletcher is a good batting coach, he can still get something out of Dhawan, clearly there is real natural ability there- timing and hand eye co ordination
