I see lot of new users joined ICF - before WC, after WC win, start of England series. Or some such significant cricketing event. For me it was December 2009, Sehwag's landmark innings of 293 vs SriLanka. Before that I would usually comment on CI, TOI anonymously, but there was this discussion about Viv vs Sehwag on CI. and they blocked comments. So, after quick Googling and I was here on ICF.

I had been lurking since last year and tried to join during the WC after the draw with England. However, since Indian draws/losses are what attracts trolls too..my account was probably rejected or something :(( I finally was able to join post WC :yay:

I used to visit old forum but never posted. Since I was very much involved with my own forum. I didn't really like the look of that old forum but still used to visit that bukhar site often just to read comments. Also I remember Rajiv used to have somewhere on left side a link to another page where he had embeded a media player where one would get too see some latest 2 mins quick highlights of innings or a player or sometime some old game highlights. There were times I would not visit that for about 2-3 months. Then one of my friends told me about this site and also I think Rajiv through a pm on DT back in 07. Also there was another website which I used to visit and post a lot on. It was also run by Ravi. It was called Overthewicket.com. I was pretty active on it.

Pre world cup, 2007. Saw one of Rajiv's youtube videos with the icf watermark on it. One of my first posts was an hopeful/inspirational essay (no surprises there :D) as to why I had then felt that we had an excellent chance to win the cup. We then proceeded to get knocked out B’desh in the first round. :((

I got thru a google search. I am relatively new to web forums / internet posting. I had been posting on r.s.c for a year and a half when I came across ICF and could kinda tell that some of dem rsc'ers were here too. I joined a couple of forums at that time - Nov last year and ICF turned out to be functioning more regularly than the others so just stuck with it. It's been a nice experience here, all in all.

Rajiv's videos, but the members back then were full of awesomeness, Salil, bob, h4te, cochise, graphic23, were amongst a few who have stopped participating in the discussions here recently. It was fun times in the hood back then :D btw, one of the very first members whom I interacted with when I first joined was a member by the name Willow_on_fire, cool guy from Canada, he is now here with a different avtaar though :D

I remember. His initial id was willow on fir_6_6_6. Then admins shrinked it down to willow on fire.
