why 2 years? we can get our 1st status in 6-8 months......england 125 points, india 3rd 117 points......hope england nd pak draw in dull tracks in uae nd then england go 2 lanka nd lose, hopefully we beat wi 3-0 nd then aus 2-1 nd the difference will attrite 2 almost 2 points.....but for dat we have 2 play genuine fast bowlers who trouble aussies, in all aus tours we have found new fast bowlers.........msd improve ur technique 2 play in those tracks nd vision 2 pick wickets with fast bowlers not containing with trundlers\ :beee::beee::beee::beee::beee::beee:

Dude, I have practically stopped following cricket after WC win. As soon as I heard the news, that these guys will be playing IPL in 5 days, I knew it was the beginning of the end. I am glad I pulled out then. I do not consider myself an indebted fan for life. I cannot support a team which "sold out" for lack of better word their national aspirations and the golden opportunity to do well as a team and create history for some extra cash. To me, my interests have been compromised and I don't give a damn whether it is Dhoni or Tendulkar Mark my words. It is going to be a real miracle if we hold a top 3 ranking position for next 5 years or so. In any case, as said earlier, it is not just a question of perfomance, you have been sold out by your players. Simple as that. They would rather play through injuries in IPL than rest and be fit to play for the country. England deserve to No.1 and they will remain so.

I have always maintained that ranking are irrelevant.our primary task is to make sure we can win at home first-this means we need to get some healthy fast bowlers and 2 dependable wicket taking spinners(not bhajji).

The joy many get from the great empire crumbling is nealry as sad as seeing the empire go down the pan. No time to rejoice and revel in this folks. These are dark and sad times. This is truly depressing

I dont see the need for all these overly negative posts, yes we are going to lose this series but all it takes is 1/2 players to up their game and things will look up its not like we're doomed to being the 5th best team for the next decade! Prep for this series was as good as it gets and on paper we are the better team with the bowling showing slight improvements from England tour, however 3 batsman Kohli, Laxman and Ghambir have let us down, Laxman will be replaced by Sharma (in the future), Ghambir we hope will find form and Kohli will be replaced by Pujara - then we will become the top test side! Depth in bowling is a concern but this will be address in the coming years with the bcci already looking to identify a pool of 15 phast bowlers.

What fkng empire? We never won a series in SAF or Australia? We barely won 1-0 in England thanks to the umpiring fkup at Lords.
So,we were home bullies all along :hmmm:.
