I really liked this guys attitude. I have been observing his performances in England and also in India and he always look to take wickets rather than being economic. This is what we expect from a lead spinner. His line is attacking and doesn't care if we go fro some runs. More importantly doesn't care bowling in power plays. Completely different from Bhajji. May be skill wise Bhajji could be good than ashwin but this guy attitude is amazing. Also, he has a good variety being carrom ball main weapon. Tries different stuff like coming over the wicket etc etc.... He might not be ready for test yet or doesn't have the quality but definetly done enough to replace bhajji in ODI's.

I agree bhajji is the turbanator but in modern era people know the way to tackle excessive amount of spin.You need that small glitch out of pitch to get LBW or get caught round the bat.

He hasn't made many but he looks like a decent batsman. His running between the wickets is terrible and his fielding is average. He looks like a chap who is keen to improve though.

He is one of the best limited overs spinners in the world ,let alone India.

I like Ashwin and he has definitely done enough to keep his place in the side. However, sometimes his 10 overs can look innocuous and opposition teams just play him out, scoring around 50 runs off his 10 overs. He is a good limited overs bowler but sometimes lacks a wicket taking threat. I'm far from convinced he is a test prospect.

Not ready for tests yet, but in ODIs he is an intelligent bowler - bowls in the right places with good variation and most importantly doesnt get flustered when taken for runs early in his spell. During the 4th ODI he gave away 15 runs in his first 5 balls, but came to concede only 23 runs in his next 55 deliveries along with taking 3 wickets
