MCcricket
This guy got us into the game with a century, got 9 wickets, batted with the tail, showed more maturity and skills then most of our batsmen, played very smartly to insure we don't loose, made sure we got 1 run , waited for Aaron to cross , hoping for fielder to hit bowlers side, sneak in one more.Who on earth can complain about his choices or skills or temperament, maybe he could teach a thing or too to Dhoni, Kohli,Tendulkar. Probably one of the best performance by a cricketer in a series let alone a debutant. Link to comment

fineleg
As far as overall comment about R. Ashwin - I think we need to wait for at least a full year, if not two, before singing "Our spin cupboard looks better". Far too often players have one or two good series and then fizzle out. RA seems to have more potential, but potential* is just that (potential). So, congrats on debut series, but a long long way to go before ppl get all Yay! *here, I am talking purely bowling skills Link to comment

vvvslaxman
will we keep discussing this forever :wall: They are asking to other players as well :cantstop: http://www.deccanchronicle.com/channels/sport/cricket/ashwin-enjoys-midas-touch-729 On whether Ashwin should have made a better attempt to steal the second run which would have handed India the victory: Badri: Considering the situation, I thought Ashwin should have sprinted the first run before making a dash back at the wicketkeeperÃÔ end. Who knows, the fielder or the ÃÃŒeeper might have fluffed it under pressure. Vijay: To be honest, Ashwin showed a lot of maturity in handling the situation. I think we should rather look at the positives than trying to dig out cynicism. Ashwin, along with Virat Kohli, did a fabulous job to take India that close; lets appreciate that. Sunil: The presence of mind for such a young cricketer is exemplary. He made sure India did not stand a chance to lose by not going for a wild slog off the penultimate delivery. Link to comment

Sachinism
Hahahahahaha Mumbai or Mumbaikars, they just can't make Ashwin run. Now you know, there was nothing personal about that 2nd Run Ashwin didn't take in Mumbai. Oh dear...RAshwin doesn't like the second run, does he?
