we could have utilsed day 2 n 3 pitch to bat n make a score but no expose out of form batsman to swinging ball n ask inform but young(expect Zak)bowlers to bowl on a patta
2 of our batsmen are not out of form. They are just old.

It's not a patta by any means. And we couldn't do the same at MCG when we were 214-3, what makes you think we could have done it here? The fact of the matter is our batsmen fked it up big time again

Batting first was the right decision. The team picked was wrong. Gambhir looks more nervous than a newly-wed bride who hasn't seen her husband before and Kohli is a sitting duck waiting to be roasted every time he comes out to bat.

donno why , but i am pretty much looking forward for the tri series, maybe bcoz the truth is india is now a great odi side, but in tests------ 4-0 coming up

what a crap decision by dhobi.... batting in the most difficult conditions, 2morrow will be the best day to bat, aussies will pile up runs nd india again all out cheaply in the 2nd innings.... only way to save his **** is just pray for an overcats condition early in th morning nd just go for wickets, but knowin dhobi, he`ll spread the field....such a douche

Batting first was the right decision. Gambhir, Dravid, Sehwag, VVS, SRT, Kohli none of them got out to a delivery due to bad batting conditions. Needed to bat through the first session which we didn't. The batting line up is just not good enough anymore.

The decision to bat first cannot be Dhoni's individual decision. These things are decided in team meetings and it is a team decision. In Mebourne Ausralia batted first and still we were thrashed. There were no terrors in the wicket..Its just bad batsmanship.

and toss decisions (bat first on a green pitch) are very perplexing.
Do you think this decision is taken solely by MSD? Whole team management with senior players takes these kind of decisions and this is not the first time we batted first on a lively track.

Gambhir delivery was cracking, pitched outside leg and moved so much.

Gambhir delivery was cracking' date=' pitched outside leg and moved so much.[/quote'] n Kohli one was pretty good too

No doubt pitch was tough to bat on early but you need your top order to show some application like srt did , it was a matter of just 1 session and we lost the game in that.

Gambhir should learn to leave on length..He got good one though. Kohli got good one as well Sehwag, Laxman and SRT played bad shots...Dravid seems to get stuck with his footwork right now. I am worried about Sehwag...he gets life every time but he is not capitalizing.. when was last time he scored test hundred??

There is nothing wrong about this decision' date=' its is not his fault if the bating lineup fails.[/quote'] its not failed suddenly, its failing for quite a while now.he should have taken it into account.the odds of Gambo,Sehwag lasting a session were minimal n if it didnt happen we always knew what was in store for us.n it materialised

Dhoni's decisions on team selections (eg Piyush Chawla)' date=' batting order (order in which batsmen were sent in some of the ODIs),[b'] and toss decisions (bat first on a green pitch) are very perplexing. Either he just likes to go against the commonly accepted things to do in cricket or he knows something that no one else knows. And as I type, Gauti out on a green pitch, good ball.
I think this decision is not made entirely by the Captain - the coach, senior players etc may also be involved in this so no point in blaming Dhoni alone.
