Soorma_Bhopali
How this joker qd Ishant Sharma keep getting games is beyond me ..they dropped mesh Yadav who is the only genuine fast bowler we have and shami Ahmed who is much better than these two hacks .. Link to comment

He did not bowl tremendously but he was good with the new ball and all of our pacers went for runs. You cannot accurately criticize him without also criticizing Ishant and B Kumar. Link to comment

It builds pressure which Australia successfully relieved today but would not have relieved every day. It made the job of facing B Kumar more difficult. Ideally, you will attack with the new ball but someone who keeps it tight cannot be said to be bowling badly as just "not perfectly" or "not brilliantly". Link to comment

Ideally' date=' you will attack with the new ball but someone who keeps it tight cannot be said to be bowling badly as just "not perfectly" or "not brilliantly".[/quote'] there is difference between harmless and good tight bowling which builds pressure whenever they wanted to attack him they did and comfortably got runs without any problem... many teams now a days with 2 new balls don't mind 2 tight overs at start so to me its hardly an achievement. new ball is very important now a days with almost no reverse swing..to me jsut keeping it tight is not going to be enough..yeah if he is beating the bat and not getting wickets then i can understand but this was batsmen just getting their eye in because of toothless bowling and nothing more.. express bowling
The main question is.... Is there any point in picking a very medium pacer unless he is highly skilled or gets steep bounce ? Do they ever suceed in the long run ? Vinay is a medium skilled and short , medium pacer. Also, our pace bowling is becoming too one dimensional with all 3 pacers bowling below 135 k generally. Bhuvi becomes more potent if he has a quicker pacer bowling at the other end. Link to comment

He has said he doesn't have the physique or aggression like many fast bowlers. Whoever is coaching needs to be sacked, instead of asking him to work on his physique , it seems he has been advised to show little aggression and bowl line and length. Line and length is more potent when it is bowled at around 135 plus consistently, not when he is bowling 125-130s which possesses no threat to international batsmen. Link to comment
