All other teams have solid batsmen (especially the imports) and we have Lizzards and Levis.. Where have the invested their monies in?

Mariyam Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 Any reliable Batsman available in the MI team, on the bench? I mean apart from Blizzards, Levis, Pollus, Rayuds etc.. All other teams have solid batsmen (especially the imports) and we have Lizzards and Levis.. Where have the invested their monies in? Why invest in players? That would be a very dumb business decision. Why spends millions on players, when you can $$ umpires and BCCI officials for a fraction and win the IPL. Ask CSK, they've employed this tactic successfully on two occasions. No big spenders in this years IPL. Mallya is bankrupt, he'll probably have Kohli give a part of his way to revive KF. Subroto is broke after building that stadium. N Srinivasan spent loads bribing his way to the presidency of the BCCI. RR and K xi P never had any money to begin with. We're the only ones left.

Needforspeed Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 http://www.espncricinfo.com/indian-premier-league-2012/content/story/562042.html Malinga injury blow for Mumbai Indians Back spasms have forced Lasith Malinga, the Mumbai Indians fast bowler, to return to Sri Lanka for treatment, and he could miss up to two weeks of the IPL as a result. Malinga last played for Mumbai Indians against Rajasthan Royals on April 11 and missed the match against Delhi Daredevils on April 16. "He is undergoing treatment [in Sri Lanka]," Nishantha Ranatunga, the secretary of Sri Lanka Cricket, told ESPNcricinfo. However, Ranatunga was not certain how long Malinga would be out and said the fast bowler would have to be evaluated by the Sri Lanka team's physio before any return date could be determined.
