maniac Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Here is my List....I have taken some things into consideration....more movies than they deserve for eg;That Hrithik Roshan clone guy who acted with Priyanka Chopra doesn't qualify because the public already finished his career or some other obscure 1-2 film wonders but I am talking about actors whose performances make you think how they lasted this long Also exclude actors who just annoy you for eg;I can't stand SRK but i have to admit given the right director, story,he can act or give a decent performance Akshay Kumar-Seriously,this guy has been around like forever but still doesn't have one acting bone in his body...How he is one of our biggest stars and keeps acting in big budget production is beyond me...I wonder if he won any Indian awards which definetely make them a bigger joke if they already aren't Salmaan Khan-this guy has been around for nearly 25 years and still cannot do an emotional scene...I wonder how some one who has been doing a certain job day in day out for so long can still suck at it.Seriously it is a disgrace to mention salman Khan and acting in the same sentence Rajendar Kumar-Once I was watching an old movie of this guy with my dad and he was telling me how this guy had insane amounts of consecutive blockbusters. When I saw his acting seriously nothing short of atrocious. Nagarjuna--Probably not a lot of you northies are familiar with most of his work....seriously this guy can't act...He qualifies on default and as a special guest just on a technical criteria that he acted in quiet a few Hindi movies Deepika Padukone---well she is hot-yes but there are thousands of models hotter than her,but if we feel that MF Hussain has insulted our godesses in the name of art than Deepika Padukone having an acting caree is not a less an insult to mother Saraswati. Will Add more names soon
EnterTheVoid Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Seema Biswas is my favorite actress. Top job in Bandit Queen/Water. Deepika/Katrina Kaif/Priyanka Chopra are the worst. They probably only got the roles due to their looks - Zero on acting talent. Balakrishna is the worst actor to grace cinema, ever.
EnterTheVoid Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Anurag Kashyap is my favorite director - Loved Dev D, Black Friday and That girl in yellow boots.

MonishaSarabhai Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Salmaan Khan-this guy has been around for nearly 25 years and still cannot do an emotional scene...I wonder how some one who has been doing a certain job day in day out for so long can still suck at it.Seriously it is a disgrace to mention salman Khan and acting in the same sentence :omg: Salman is the best
MonishaSarabhai Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Sonam Kapoor should definitely be in the llist

Laaloo Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 As for actresses, Kareena Kapoor tops the list for me.

Yoda-esque Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 There is no best or worst actor. It is a director's medium.
maniac Posted February 25, 2012 Author Posted February 25, 2012 There is no best or worst actor. It is a director's medium. Not entirely true....I have seen some movies with decent story and direction suck due to bad acting or miscasting. I don't know who apart from me saw this movie :giggle: but I recently saw a Hindi movie called Heroes....the story was not bad actually and even the direction was okish but the producer and director did the 100% fool proof way to make a movie suck by casting Sohail Khan(Should add this annoying waste of space to my list) and boy did he suck and brought the whole movie down.
mhr123 Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Worst actor : Jeetendra,Dev Anand (I can't withstand there over acting even 10 mins..)... Period... Tusshar Kapoor Worst Actress : Esha Deol Maniac is a serious maniac to include Akshay in the worst list...... yaar his action and comedy timings are very good... i am not sure what is ur base to choose ur worst list.
punjabi_khota Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Overall don't know but specific movie roles Actor: Salman Khan in HDDCS Actress: Aishwarya in Dhoom 2
Mariyam Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Akshay Kumar-Seriously,this guy has been around like forever but still doesn't have one acting bone in his body...How he is one of our biggest stars and keeps acting in big budget production is beyond me...I wonder if he won any Indian awards which definetely make them a bigger joke if they already aren't To his credit, Akki does comedy quite well. Though most of his (supposed to be) funny movies are really bad, he can make you laugh. The other thing in Akki's favour is that he is very versatile. In his earlier days he was mainly an action hero, executing multiple roundhouse kicks for 3 hours interspersed with the occasional song. Mohra, Sabse Bada Khiladi, Main Khiladi tu Anari, Around the turn of the millenium he turned into a romantic hero starting with Dhadkan and this is the time he was at his lowest ebb (acting wise). After that he's re-invented him self into a comedy actor and plays the stereotypical NRI/street smart con man/ don with a heart roles. And he's probably the most successful actor in India at the moment , monetarily speaking. Verdict: Definitely doesn't belong in this list. Salmaan Khan-this guy has been around for nearly 25 years and still cannot do an emotional scene...I wonder how some one who has been doing a certain job day in day out for so long can still suck at it.Seriously it is a disgrace to mention salman Khan and acting in the same sentence How many movies has Salman done which have called for an overtly blatant display of emotions? Most of his roles were/are that of characters who are happy go lucky. This is like saying that Clint Eastwood is a pathetic actor because he can't do comedy. It simply isn't his forte. You don't judge people on what the role doesn't require of them. Still, from the top of my head, some scene where he emotes quite well. Mariyam Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Sonam Kapoor should definitely be in the llist Absolutely. The most over rated actress of all time, IMO. Neither is she *that* good looking, nor can she act. Her Hindi diction is pretty bad for someone from a Hindi speaking family. And she speaks English with an accent that is so obviously put on that its annoying.
Mariyam Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Shahrukh gay khan This. /story How predictable. Your ignorance and the very evident lacunae in understanding of the finer aspects of acting doesn't give you the right to denigrate the world's best (arguably) actor.
Mariyam Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Not worst, but some of the most over rated actors in Bollywood Dilip Kumar : For the life of me, I can't understand why this guy is considered an all time great. Absolutely mediocre actor. A single expression whose reaction to a lover's death or a victory in battlefield is the same. Poor body language to along with it. In his favour, he speaks Hindi/Urdu very well but his dialogue delivery is boring. Zero intonation and modulation. No improvisation in his speech vis a vis the scene. Recently, I saw two of his movies in colour. Mughal e azam and Naya Daur. Both are good movies, especially the latter. I think, Dilip Kumar was lucky enough to get meaningful roles in movies which were good. He was a star primarily because of the era he worked in, and not because of his acting (or lack of) acumen. Mithun Chakraborty : Can't stand this guy. Does anyone else think that he is always screaming/ boorish in every scene of every movie. Haven't seen him essay a role without that angry look on his face. Een when its not required. See the following song for example. Hear him out for the 1 min before the song. It doesn't even sound as if he's trying to woo the girl. Sounds more like he's screaming at her. Typical Mithun. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6k60dRyjK_E]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6k60dRyjK_E[/ame] Having said that, he's one of the rare fellows who has had no connections with anyone and yet made it big in Bollywood.
