Brainfade Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 Not sure why food choices elicit pride in people. I am a vegetarian, but to me, it's just a choice ... I don't see any reason to be "proud" of it (insert headscratcher smiley here).
gaurav92 Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 ^Just indicates a sense of superiority over the Non - veggies :P But yeah, its lame nonetheless.

Brainfade Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 I have been battling with this for some time now. This may help you decide. The article is written by a doctor (now deceased). The title is a bit sensationalist, but the article itself is well-referenced and data-rich. It is long, so here's the link only: http://chetday.com/vegmyths.htm "An unflinching determination to take the whole evidence into account is the only method of preservation against the fluctuating extremes of fashionable opinion." --
varun Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 I think i must be the odd one out here who actually tried hard to be non-veg ! Tried to eat different kinds of meat and fish as a kid, but never liked it nor could digest it. Find vegetarian food much easier and tastier to eat.

Not at all It happens..I have eaten chicken here and there in my college days in daaru parties but My upbringing in a vegeteraian environment most of my life meant that I just didn't have the enzymes for it(Science people chill,if I have got that wrong) so never got into it. For me it is a matter of not having an appetitie for it rather than any religious or moral principles.
