Thats two top order failures in a row. Rahane seems to have really slowed down. After three good 50s he has been disappointing v Chennai Mumbai and today the Sunrisers. I think RR need to tweak their batting and open with Watto and Dravid and let Rahane come at 3. or Watto opens with Rahane and provides the impetus and Dravid comes at 3. But the top 3 need some rotating around. I feel Royals need better opening partnerships. It was working against the weaker teams like Delhi Pune and to a lesser extent Punjab. But against sides with good bowling attacks, its not been great. In the plays offs the Royals need to go for the gamble with Watson up front. Usually Delhi is a flattish pitch this season with something in it for the seamers with short boundaries.

Sad to see RR losing today.. I was rooting for SRH anyhow, but the players looked very disturbed.. just a few fake smiles.. Hope they shld get over this nd prove their credilibility in playoffs ... :hatsoff: to SRH players. They played like gentlemen. From wat I saw, they did not show even a slight display of mockery or jerkness..

I do not think so they were affected by the off-field issues. They bowled very well and looked set to win. But as Dravid put in clearly, slow pitches, RR batting has struggled. Their batting fails and their lack of spinners will always make it tougher. They are perhaps the least Indian team in the league as nearly 85% of the overs bowled are by fast bowlers. But tomorrow could be an interesting day for RR, there are some ongoing noises about removing RR itself or at least making the supposed "fixed" matches removed. That would be stupidity imo, but everything in India seems like that.

Congratulations Rajasthan Royals. What an innings from Hodge. Entry into the Champions League 2013 and their first experience. Congrats slickr and other RR fans
