BeautifulGame Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 The difference btw Sandeep and Ravikanth was that Sandepp was only effective the new ball.Whereas Ravikanth bowled with older ball and was still mighty effective.Remember his unplayable deliveries against Pakistan around the 20th over to start the collapse. And more importantly he can bowl an yorker under pressure unlike our troika.The one he bowled in the semi final was sublime and won us the match.The adv. Sandeep has is he can swing it both ways whereas Ravikanth has good outswingers from what i saw during u-19 world cup

Our 5th bowling option was the one who saved our ass. We cannot pick another full time bowler to protect a crappy fulll time bowler. It should be a replacement or nothing.

Sandeep could bowl 3 overs on the trot. Either way we should not have taken this world T20 seriously and played a team with youngsters. We might have even won like in 2007 when we didn't take that seriously. We went for experience instead of form and fitness.

It should be a replacement or nothing. ++. 5th bowler will most probably do worse than the part-timer also it'd also put batsmen under pressure to play defensively so all in all it'll do more bad than good.

We went for experience instead of form and fitness. TBH we could have played both Sandeep and Ravikanth instead of Balaji and Zaheer we probably would have had a better bowling attack. Lot more athletism on the field too
