NareshK Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Zaheer doesnt look good enough in T20. He doesnt have the confidence or skill to bowl well especially at the end overs. Balaji and Pathan bowled over 130+ in the previous game. They are not medium pacers but on flat pitches and when there is no swing, they will probably go for runs because they seem to struggle to bowl yorkers consistently. But I think they have done decently well so far. The extra pace of Umesh Yadav doesnt help on slower wickets in sub continent as the ball will come on the bat nicely. He doesnt have enough control to bowl economically in T20 as we have seen in IPL. I think Dinda should be given a chance in place of Zaheer. But I'm not sure he will do much better.

How Chawla keeps getting selected is a big mystery for me. This guy has been poor in IPL and also whenever he was given a chance to play for India and yet keeps getting selected in the squad. Bhajji also has been poor since the World cup. He couldnt even pick wickets in domestic circuit and yet just because he played in county cricket and came back, he got selected ? The selection seems to be more on the basis of reputation than form.

They had so many opportunities to try and get youngsters in the team with so many meaning less odis leading up to this T20 . They have instead gone back to tried and tested failures with no upside whatsoever, and this fu*cker Srikanth has gall to say this team can win the whole thing. How is Bhajji better than harmeet singh is beyond me he was literally shot putting the ball against Pakistan. Why is this fricking chawla in the team.

Well I dont dont but perhaps its because group D matches are in pallekele and pallele stadium was used for last match i think. Also I think the schedule is understandable. Sohail Tanvir and Sami are not that quick and they are also inconsistent in line and length. They will be relying entirely on spinners to deliver the goods.

Very much unlike the KKR Balaji. In IPL, pitches were slow mostly which helped his pace variations and then people forgot he bowled along side Sunil Narine whose presence helped whole bowling attack. Even Munaf bowled well in presence of Malinga and when Malinga got injured, suddenly his bowling declined.
