Cricketics Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 I Know I Didn't See I Know You Didn't See It Either, But I Know How It Must Feel The Knock Of 96 Not Out Under Pressure, Chps Down. Champion Stuff From Pujara. Well Supported By Ahmed But This Is Special Knock
Lord Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 yes great knock.knew this guy was class wen he made 70 against Aus.should be our 3 now
jj_28 Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 Theirs a DRAVID sized hole that needs to be filled in Indian Test Team and Pujara has given the perfect reason today why he should be the person to fill it Shami Ahmed :hatsoff:
jairamesh Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 I have always maintained that pujara is the future. We need to build a team around this guy. The likes of kohli, rohit, Gambir are all support acts. But pujara has all the shots and technique to play all conditions and play those long innings. This is not the first time Pujara has demonstrated his ability. He was also excellent in the 2010 India A tour to England. I have really no idea why the feck the selectors didn't get him into the Australia tour.
ganeshran Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 Laxmanesque knock played by Pujara. When everything seemed down and out, he came up with a hidden gem :hatsoff: :hatsoff:
fineleg Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 So far only 5 replies to this thread? :hmmmm: Thread was posted few hours ago at least. If this thread had been about useless KKR winning a shoddy circus tournament against an even more useless sambhar csk, then there would be 5 pages of replies in 1 hour. SRK and Juhi Chawla will do a disco dance with Mamta Banerjee. And "someone" will ask "What's wrong with IPL" :banghead: Today at Kensington Oval It might have been an unofficial Test, but the qualities that make Test cricket special were all on display. Well done Cheteshwar Pujara and Shami Ahmed

Number Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 :hatsoff: Laxmanesque stuff from Dravid's replacement.
Robelinda Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 Pujara should move to New Zealand if he isn't playing in India's next test later this year. Can't ignore the guy, quality batsman, better than Rohit. Would've liked to see Mukund in this match, to see if any of his previous technique flaws have been corrected.

Manny_Pacquiao Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 this was one heck of an innings. yeah, it's difficult to salvage a win when you have 2 wickts in hand with another 70 odd to get, but on top of that, he had to deal with the constant rain breaks. that is such a huge disadvantage because the dangerous bowlers get a chance to rest up and then they can carry on where they left off, while the batsman has to re-focus and get his head back in the 'zone'. these were some really 'tough' runs that he got. anyway, one can only hope that he gets selected soon, though i have my doubts...india have already wasted about 2 years of this guy's career, and the dumb **** ******** ******** selectors have picked numerous failures ahead of him in the past so clearly their judgement isn't worth ****.
Roshanrocks Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 Pujara I want you in the Indian Test team NOW!!!!!
Sidhoni Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 :hatsoff: Reminded of Laxman-Ishant at Mohali. Only difference Ishant was dismissed there.

To be fair to the selectors he was injured for most of these two years. He returned to competitive cricket only in late 2011. Pujara has had two knee surgeries both due to fielding (diving) in IPL. Maybe he needs to consult some specialist on his landing style while diving.
Manny_Pacquiao Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 he missed a lot of '11 with the knee surgery but he was killin it in '08, '09, '10...huge runs in first class cricket from what i remember. not easy, considering the rabble that he was batting with at a team like saurashtra. i think he got his debut a bit too late...think of how easily he could have replaced either yuvraj at 6 or that termite-infested 'WALL' at number 3.
vamos_rafa Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 Pujara for #3. No VK or even Sachin is needed there. He's our replacement for Dravid and let him be groomed at 3.
