asterix Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 on a importance of 1-10 this match ranks as a 2 for me. You are now competing with those sad Lankan fans in the stadium who were about to cry...
rkt.india Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 on a importance of 1-10 this match ranks as a 2 for me. As an alrounder he is good. IN places like SA and Aus, we can even play 4 pacers including him and one spinner given the conditions and he can bat as well as any top order batsman.
Executioner Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 so far so good. Irfan can bat better than jadeja, yusuf and bowl better so y not have him in the team?
jind Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 Did well today and he knew the importance of today's knock..was pumped after hitting the winning runs. Pathan will be around for a while now
VRV Singh Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 the road to doom has begun. we can kiss goodbye to any chance of winning any more world tournaments. :wall: It seems like you hate literally every bowler in the history of Indian cricket. But reserve a special pounding for the guy who can actually hold a bat? :cantstop:
vvvslaxman Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 King Tendulkar must be so dissapointed... Twice disappointed First ball duck from Rohit Match winning contribution by Irfan
BERGKAMP Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 this is like deja vu. does well in a meaningless match, secures his place for a few more series. brainwashes everyone into thinking he is the best thing since sliced bread. then will go back to getting smacked around and be dropped. and repeat.

Nobody over-rates Irfan. But you under-rate Irfan. That is the problem. Everyone is aware of his limitations. But overall he is going to win more matches for India than others.
VRV Singh Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 Best thing since sliced bread :cantstop: I don't think anyone has said his bowling is anything more than ok But simple equation: Average bowler who bats well > Average bowler who doesn't I don't think the Pathan debates will get any more succinct that that.
Ultimate_Game Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 You are now competing with those sad Lankan fans in the stadium who were about to cry... Can you post a video of that along with Tony's commentary :woot:
Vilander Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 Irfan was all class in the interview. He kept saying gods grace instead of inshaalla..go fella :)
1983-2011 Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 Irfan was all class in the interview. He kept saying gods grace instead of inshaalla..go fella :) same thing, ones in arabic the other one is in english:confused:
CG Posted July 29, 2012 Author Posted July 29, 2012 great allround performance by irfan ,one thing he has is attitude and temperament .if he is given a long rope and backed he will be a permanent fixture in odis.
maniac Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 great allround performance by irfan ' date='one thing he has is [b']attitude and temperament .if he is given a long rope and backed he will be a permanent fixture in odis. Needs to add consistency to those attributes... but yes,he is not a weak team bully...on his day can be good against any opposition
Crookbond Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Irfan Pathan over 1500 runs and 150 wkts in ODIs: Among Indians only Kapil, Prabhakar & Tendulkar have achieve this all-round feat. @mohanstatsman
SLICKR392 Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 @mohanstatsman And the selectors dropped him for VK :musicus:
