I was very very serious abt cricket.. from a young age.. If India lost a close game, I would start crying, not eat dinner, etc etc.... this is when I was in single digit age... After that, I started bunking school to watch games :D

Any time i could get little articles in the newspapers i would cut them out and put it in a scrapbook because my mother the same day she got the newspapers would throw them away either while i was at school or sleeping.she says i am too absorbed with cricket

I rem this one game distinctly. We were in school. One of the guyhs had a radio and he was listening in with a concealed headphone and writing out and passing notes with score updates every 5 - 10 mns and whenever a wicket fell. The lecturere wasnt particularly sharp of hearing, and he was asking questions of random people. He called upon the radio guy - he got up and said ( the question was something to do with heat functions) 130/3 sir, and sat down. the promptness and surety of the ansewr convinced mr.hearing impaired that maybe the guy said the correct thing, He said "good good" and then couldnt understand why everyone burst out laughing :)

HAHAHA at the 130/3 comment...... In my case, all the info was from the papers. All my friends are into rugby union so there was no outlet for me to discuss cricket.

Usually we watched with Padosis in my society. We celebrate together by playing cricket followed by cricket match. haha. I remember we were so upset after 2003 World cup nobody wants to bat everybody just want to bowl and hit the batsman on face. I remember india pakistan matches in canada, started really late. I had final exam in some grade, i was studying whole night and every hour and so i sneak in to my neighbor to ask scores. That was all ODI cricket craze.
