Mariyam Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 Balaji's been one of my favourite cricketers. Whenever he's on the field either bowling or batting, he's always seems to be having a good time. Always plays with a smile. The series against Pakistan, where he hit many death over sixes were one of the first ODIs that I watched for more than 10 overs. The guy is a joy to watch.
Sean Bradley Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 Balaji looked Rusty, but he can be a very handy bowler in srilanka. Wish you Luck Bala !

He pawned Shoaib Akhtar's with the ball as well. YbJ7Nk0jIbA KKjlE39Q6dk
SLICKR392 Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 Has anyone got the Pak '04 tour Test series highlights?
CoverDrive Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 about smiling actually he has had a jaw surgery in childhood because of which he appears to be smiling even when he is not.
CG Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 I think 33/1 in 4 overs is a pretty good performance on a flat track for any bowler. Dont think many Indian bowlers would have done better. He has lost his zip, only bowling slow balls is not going surprise batsman everytime.when pressure comes we will need good bowling like r.p singh, sreesanth did in sa t20.allthough we will play in srilanka but still you need decent pace .i see him made a scapegoat for impeding wt20 failure.
rkt.india Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 He has lost his zip' date='only bowling slow balls is not going surprise batsman everytime.when pressure comes we will need good bowling like r.p singh, sreesanth did in sa t20.allthough we will play in srilanka but still you need decent pace .i see him made a scapegoat for impeding wt20 failure.[/quote'] He never had much pace. He still bowls around 130. His strength was swing and his variations. lack of pace can work well in T20 cricket. The quicker bowlers are more likely to go for too many runs in T20s.
vvvslaxman Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 Balaji was least of our problems yesterday. Ashwin was a touch disappointing. But You gotta hand it to McCullum for coming out guns blazing.
cricketnns Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 The smiling assassin. good ol' Bala. Remember when he screwed it up for KKR by giving 21 odd runs in the last over vs MI!:haha: Most of those were edges though, to be fair to him:clap:

Number Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Man I thought he could bowl 4 overs. The guy is a walking dead body.
CG Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Man I thought he could bowl 4 overs. The guy is a walking dead body. I have been saying so for ages ,you cannot go back to guys like nehra, balaji.Balaji at his best swung the ball at 135k but bow he is 125k and bowls 4 slower balls a over,in ipl on slow pitches at end of season he migh do well but here he is going to be exposed.
Sid Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Does this mean Jumping Jack will play against Afghans ?
Hell Raiser Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 what a pathetic performance by our bowlers. And the scary thing is we can't even say that we should replace them with any other bowler, as other may even be more pathetic then who bowled today. :nervous:
vvvslaxman Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 He was not all that terrible for all his 41 in 4 overs. One shot Kamran literally converted. He did owl couple of good overs.
CG Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Surely PK is better than Balaji joe bloggs is better than bala currently.
MUMBAISKIPPER Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 He is in the team courtesy K.Srikanth......Chennai brigade representing team India is what Srikanth wants....forget the quality and skills of player,he has to be from Tamil Nadu....this is the selection criteria for Mr.Srikanth....People like Srikanth should be slapped publicly
