All in all, this year...

...when our backs were against the wall, this team has come out strong, but somehow have been very unlucky this year. We were down and out and Kohli and India won that incredible gaem in CWB series to chase down 320 odd in 35 overs to keep in touch with the finals, only to see lanka defeat Australia couple of days later. Then in Asia cup, after an incredible chase against pakistan, bangla manage to beat sri lanka and we are not able to make finals again. and here we are in World t20, a great win against pak, in a game which can eliminate us, but we win and the next day the same opponent plays terrific cricket against Australia to put us in trouble. I don't think we were bad this year at the t20. Have to mention that we have been bit unlucky. I guess law of averages or whatever it is, after winning world cup, we are not winning the luck.

We have made our own 'unlucky' moments and the blame primarily lies with Dhoni. CB series- tied a match which should have been easily Asia Cup- Let BD chase 295 (even though a milestone ate away 15-20 additional runs from that toal) WT20- Total lack of plan B vs Aus, not picking a spinner vs SA, not bowling Ashwin early on Too many tactical errors IMO. Dhoni along with this dreadful team management should get the sack.

3 teams effed us Australia lost to SL SL lost to BD Australia lost badly to Pakistan these are not usual things .
Have to say, other teams seem to be happy to lose just so they could see India go out, especially Aus and SL. Jealous feckers. Wonder when India will get the opportunity to return the favor.

Cricketics bhai you really are a breath of fresh air here!! Your posts are so refreshing amidst the consistent wrist-slittings.
I second that..... and some guys obsession with dhoni's captaincy being the reason for our losses is beyond me..... guys look at the resources (bwling especially) at his disposal.... its not like we have shane warne, michael holding, wasim akram , mcgrath et al in our bowling line up.... n then some guys obsession with kohli..... he may win us the match, but he cant get us thru..... thats exasperating to say the least......

Totally agree. Even if MSD is the whole sole reason for the loss, I saw some poster accusing him of match-fixing as well! That's shameful man. It's just fickle mindedness at times. Kohli is the lone warrior coz he's scoring now. Let him fail for a few matches, then his attitude problem woes would start surfacing. The whole reasoning is at times thrown out of the window and instead pure hatred is thrown around.

But it's worrying the lull in any improvement in bowling and the form of certain players is worrying.
We bowled out the opposition in the 4 games we won. Our bowling didn't let us down this tournament, apart from the Australia game.

if u r having to depend on other teams to progress n fail' date='u r bad,not unlucky[/quote'] In Super 8 format, most teams depend on other teams to progress. That's the nature of the draw. You have 4 teams with 2 to qualify. NRR and outcome of other matches will usually come into play.
