goose Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 As good as the entire sequence is I was really referring to the 30 seconds where Amitabh is beating the guy senseless. I should have been more clear.
The Outsider Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 Kai boltos? I've watched Deewar around 50-60 times and Sholay 30-40 times. :proud:
rkt.india Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 It flopped anyway :cantstop: Was hardly a success as Amitabh used to belt. Remember there was a second version put right up where Amitabh's vocal version of Manya Surve was taken off and Amitabh was back to being Amitabh. Dont get me wrong, Amitabh is great in Agneepath but Agneepath is a director's movie. Only a Mukul Anand could have delivered it. :winky: And goofups also. Agneepath was solely Amitabh film and is remembered just because of him and his performance. Otherwise, director had goofed up the story and screenplay big time. And it was a flop at the BO.
The Outsider Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 And goofups also. Agneepath was solely Amitabh film and is remembered just because of him and his performance. Otherwise' date=' director had goofed up the story and screenplay big time. And it was a flop at the BO.[/quote'] It was a flop because Amitabh Bachchan's modified voice was used in the original movie and no one liked his voice. After 6-8 weeks a redubbed version was released - which is the only one available today with Amitabh Bachchan's actual voice and was a semi hit.
Nova Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 I've watched Deewar around 50-60 times and Sholay 30-40 times. :proud:  The max I have watched any movie is around 10 times maybe. Movie is Guns of Navarone. My father owned the VHS cassette, so it was always available. Now there are so many quality movies, plus access is easy. Although I do go back to favorite movies after some time has passed. Sometimes I don't remember much, so the experience is fresh.
Number Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: He can only express love for his GF to his future mum in law .. thats all he does in most of his movies :cantstop: lol, but he does that thing the best. But if you see his performances in Chak De India, Swades, Devdas and MNIK. Amir can't act at that level. I usually hate kind of movies SRK does, the same repeated masala but can't argue with the fact that as an actor he is far superior to Amir and other Khans.
bihutoli Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 Aamir doesn't have the presence in screen that Amitabh had. Aamir is still a damn good actor though! He underplays his character mostly and I've rarely seen Aamir take on a crappy role like Amitabh had in Khuda Gawah, etc. Overall Amitabh is more versatile imo but Aamir is good too. A big lol on the fellow that compares Ajay/SRK to Aamir.

DomainK Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 AB beats Aamir hands down. There is no question about it.

SRK's best can't beat Aamir's worst. SRK could be bigger star, but when it comes down to pure acting, he is very average.
Crookbond Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 when talking about Amitabh Bachchan people only talk about his films but not about KBC. The way he hosts that show is just outstanding - not many actors around the world can do that. SRK would know. :giggle:

Sachin=GOD Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 SRK would know. :giggle: :phehehe: SRK definitely would know how to do shows badly...............kya aap paanchvi paas se tej hain :cantstop:
ravishingravi Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 Aamir Khan should be compared with the likes of Shatrughan Sinha. Both B grade actors' date=' Aamir just happened to be born in an era where the number of [b']pseudo intellectual fools to be influenced by his supposed "acting" has grown exponentially. You know you have absolutely run out of ideas when you have to resort to that line of argument.
vvvslaxman Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 On a side note.. AB has an awesome FB page
