Rohit S. Ambani Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 Dhoni has always been dictator, authoritative, stubborn person. All his coolness is white-nosing. We south Asians are very emotional people, we can live without food but not without emotions. Dhoni is great actor.
SLICKR392 Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 Crap selection but I don't trust Times Now on this one. They have no source !!!

Ultimate_Game Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 Our selectors have no balls and Sandip patil has already showed enough that he will be worse than Srikkanth. He's nothing but Srinivasan's lackey and Indian cricket will have to bear the consequences and suffer. I would love to have the Australian model of selecting the best players and then selecting the captain. That way only the most deserving players get to be in the team. I can understand captain asking for 1 or 2 players he has faith in but you can't ask for 10 phucking non-performers! There's a reason why selectors are around and they have a job to do. If they can't they should move on and someone like Amarnath do the job.
BeautifulGame Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 Whats worse is the only serious debate they had over the squad is about the 3rd choice spinner who wont even play :((
b555 Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 I had no clue that Dhoni has so much say in selection matters. Oh almighty captain...we the spineless selectors will always bow down to you. bande ki aukaat hain bhai :((
maniac Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 Seriously....I mean I can understand selectors favoring Dhoni by giving him 1-2 players of his choice...that kind of political game has been going in Indian cricket since time immemorial but what baffles me is WHEN THE F DID DHONI BECOME THIS POWERFUL? I mean back in the day Kapil,Gavaskar and now SRT yielding this much power would make sense but Dhoni really? As much as I dislike his captaincy I still cannot buy this theory
Yoda-esque Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 Dont see us winning with current spinners. MSd is suporting underperformers because he is one himself
Cricketics Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 You can hate Dhoni as much as you want but I love his this instinct of backing his players when a certain player is totally down n out in form. That's one of the best things about his captaincy.

That's one of the best things about his captaincy. Backing donkeys is not going to transform them into horses.
Cricketics Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 Backing donkeys is not going to transform them into horses. I don't really agree with his selection either but I just love his attitude as a captain where he backs his players who are not performing. Once he has picked them he got to back them instead of saying things like "They have to perform"
Ultimate_Game Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 You can hate Dhoni as much as you want but I love his this instinct of backing his players when a certain player is totally down n out in form. That's one of the best things about his captaincy. Problem is he backs players like Sir Jadeja, Piyush "kkanfidence" Chawla and Bhajji. I have no problem in him backing someone like Rohit or Rahane in Tests but backing cr@p players got to end.
Trundler27 Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 I don't care what happens in the last two tests of this series, but the biggest tell-tale sign about the spine of this new committee would be their t20 side selection. If the t20 side undergoes wholesale changes then I still have some faith in this committee. If not then we are majorly screwed for a long long time. I think they don't want to ruffle feathers mid-way thru a series that we have a shot at winning. There's got to be a reason for changing the original selection for the final 2 games to just picking the side for the 3rd test. I really hope dhobi is not puppeteering the committee.

I have no problem in him backing someone like Rohit or Rahane in Tests but backing cr@p players got to end.[/quote'] Bang on. Just compare the players (promising, young, hungry) that Ganguly backed when he was captain and those that Dhoni backs and it is a FACEPALM of epic proportions. Dhoni backs losers and bums. those that will always be in credit to him as without his patronage they would never get selected based on merit. Why do you think he has been captain for so long?... It's certainly not related to results...

Once he has picked them he got to back them instead of saying things like "They have to perform" :hysterical::giggle::hysterical::cantstop::cantstop::cantstop: He backs them as they are from rhiti sports.
urbestfriend Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 My full support to Dhoni on this one, there is no way Mishy could've been better to carry water, Bhajji is more agile and can do a better job. Also why target Bhajji, he was as bad as other spinners in the last match..

That's one of the best things about his captaincy. This. Lets take an eg. - Everyone was asking for Yuvi to be dropped in the WC when we had to play 2 out of Yuvi, Raina and Kohli. But Dhoni backed Yuvi and dropped Raina and rest, as they say, is history.
