I didn't read much of the discussion once I saw name of Dhoni in OP. Dhoni shouldn't be allowed even in the stands for a test match, forget about playing in it. That is the extent of damage he has done to Indian Test Cricket.

Ashwin Buddhiman Baba Ojha Yadav Zak if fit/Pankaj/Awana/Shami (anyone who is fit by the end of the season..no clear fourth option right now other than Yadav, Zak, Ishant. I have seen him a few times. Before last year he used to struggle to get a 100 but last year he was the highest run getter. He was the lone run maker for Rajasthan in Irani trophy match and played Yadav, Ishant, Ojha, Harmeet really well with a not century and looked well organized. He has shades of Ricky Ponting in his batting style though not as attacking.

Short balls on a last day track in India are not usually going to test many decent batters unless you are awana bowling in the 155-160 range (lol read that on another thread on here)

Unfortunately the only time I have seen Robin Bisht is in IPL...looked lost and nothing special...once again IPL the last thing I would consider while judging someone...so will not judge
