They cannot be dropping catch willy nilly and putting more pressure on already weak bowlers.

It's an underrated skill. Australia struggled for a few years post-Warne. I think with Clarke and Smith there (it's looking better) For India, it shows how good Dravid was. Laxman and Sachin were quite good too.

a lot of these slip fielders normally field at covers or in around that area in ODIs. and they tend to be 'jumpy' as they're constantly used to moving around. It's a different technique when it comes to slip fielding.

Agreed. Good outfielders don't necessarily make good slip fielders. Someone like Laxman who was a poor fielder in general was a very good sip catcher. Kohli, Jadeja etc lack stability.

Give me a good catcher anyday over a good fielder. Fielding can save you 10-15 runs but catching can cost you 150-200 runs/change in form of the player !!!!
