King Tendulkar Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 I still feel Dinda and Awana are better and faster than Shammi.......I believe dinda wud have been a Total Success Today had he played instead of Shammi.... Awana is also faster than Shammi as he touches 140 oftern....but Shami is very disciplined and has a Good Seem position. Still awana and Dinda are ahead of Shammi in my Book and Bhuvnesh is ahead of All.... Thats half the battle
Ahmed Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 Take it easy on me as I am already very upset after the loss today. Shami was really hyped up here where rkt and others were saying he swings it both way at 140+. First of all he doesnt. His effort ball was 139 and he was mostly bowling around 135. Secondy he was bowling too wide in his first spell and he was hit comfortably many times but the fielders resqued him. They saved atleast 20 runs of his bowling. And once the shine went off, his balls went straight and any good batsman would have smashed him (even Gul hit him for 2 fours). And lastly: Never judge a bowler after seeing him bowl to pakistani batsmen. That is misleading. Our batsmen are rubbish.

Our batsmen are rubbish. :hysterical::hysterical: That is very true. Thats what I have been saying about your batters peformances, as our bowlers are rubbish. SA will offer a totally different challenge to our bowlers:--D
King Tendulkar Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 I am very interested to see how our knew pacers do against Cook and co. Then we will see there worth
express bowling Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 If they can get movement in most conditions then they definitely would be assets to India. The thing to see is whether they move the ball when conditions are neutral. I guess almost nobody get movement when conditions are adverse.
Magneto Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 why? He has great pace etc He impressed when playing for india as well. Just cos injured why discount, he can recover and be back I doubt he'll come back the same bowler. His back injury is a long-term issue, and to save his career, he'll surely be bowling 5-10 kmph slower.
Number Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 Secondy he was bowling too wide in his first spell and he was hit comfortably many times but the fielders resqued him. They saved atleast 20 runs of his bowling. True. He needs to come close to the off stump, he was left alone a lot of times as they wanted to see the new ball and some boundaries were stopped. But good thing was he was bowling into a channel not all over the place so it can be rectified. I am not quite a fan of swing bowlers, if a bowler can get movement off the seam than chances of being an overall good bowler are higher.
vishalvirsingh Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 Beeing Disciplined is OK on friendly Tracks but on FLAT tracks one has to bowl bouncers and kinda Win wickets the hard way.... I liked the bouncer with which Shami hit Gul......I m sure Dinda wud have hit paki batters real Bad today as his bouncers were Just coming Up.....

Vilander Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 impressive since it was his debut match, but he has good enough pace, good seam position and poor line often poor length quite often. I have great respect for Ajmal and Junaid now, eventhough its pak, i wish asif and amir were still around we would have had a great bowling lineup in our midst...commiserations pak fans.
vishalvirsingh Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 Bhuvnesh is another PK or VK......if he comes in his second spell with Old Ball he won't be effective that's why he was finsihed off in first spell itself..... Shammi hardly Swung Much.....I liked one of his outswingers in his first Over and a few of his Rising balls except that ....his fastest was less than 140K so he ws not Pacy and bhuvi ws below 133K today though he definitely had Prodigious Swing in his first 6 overs...... He cud have got One more wickket today.....pak ws Lucky not to givE him more Wickets.

Dinda did hit the Pakistani batsmen in both the matches.

Old guy Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: i hate traveling i hate cell phone :(( and im getting bored to death here and i was not able to see rare indian win:((
game_changerr Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 very impressive,,m,,,the spell he bowled to yk was great,,,,,which ultimately put lots of pressure on yk and bhuvu then cashed on it

They get movement in more different conditions than just swing bowlers.
asterix Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 Better to have FIT non-express phaasht bowlers than UNFIT super phaaaasht express bowlers who are just waiting for next IPL to get fit..and then again become unfit..
msb1991 Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 He bowled well enough so I didn't missed that joke of a jumping jack joker, Dinda.. Hope that Dinda guy never plays any more international matches for India.. I think that would be a mistake. Dinda is a fine bowler in T20.
Lord Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 he was good but not THAT good.lot of his runs were saved by Ajinkya n Jadeja.that helped buiild the pressure on.also bowled too short for my liking, though had decent pace n accuracy of line. Bhuvanesh Kumar looks a better bowler tbh
