What a Sehwag bhakt you are. Perhaps a bigger supporter than Sehwag's maa herself. :hysterical: I actually wanted him to do well, so he could also get back to ODI team as he is a very dangerous player in that format but he clearly looks spent force and will only hurt Indian team more. He doesnt seem like he has any confidence and he is getting out in placid conditions against seamers. The hand eye co ordination is no longer there.
I simply don't think its right to drop suc a senior player in the middle of the series. He should have been given till the end of the series.

How has bhaji survived? Oijha must play in 3rd test ahead of him
he has shown improvement acording to MSD will play in Mohali, most likely

Bad decision regarding Sehwag. Considering the fact that we don't play a Test match for many months now and dropping him now may even mean the end of his Test career' date=' he deserved to get till the end of the series.[/quote'] He will be playing domestic cricket later this year. If he does well there, he will be back.

Ishant is unlucky, my ass. This guy is the luckiest bowler in the world for continuing in the team despite years of non performance. :hysterical:

Ishant should officially ask for an entry into Guinness Book of record for being the cricketer given the longest rope ever in cricket.

dont think so SL are having slpl during that time i think. The bcci might call BD to tour instead

The selectors could call back Dravid and make him open in SA. :hysterical: He was the guy who suggested to the selectors to make a call on Sehwag. Let him face the music. :hysterical:

I would very much want BD/SL to tour Ind & see how our spinners handle them.. I dont think Dhoni's spin tracks/bowlers will work against them

He is 34, not 37/38. he still has a few good years left in him if he can turn things around. Also, a strong Ranji season could easily see him back in the sqaud after the Saffie series (Or thereabouts). I'd have rather played him in the middle order the next 2 matches and dropped him if he didn't perform but the timing of this drop isn't too bad either. IIRC, we play 16-17 tests between december 2013 and jan 2015, if sehwag uses this time well, he could be very useful next year.

btw looking at the future tours program NZ are free in Jul-Aug 2013 and SA are free for 4 weeks in Aug-Sept surely the bcci should schedule something with these teams.

Most pitches in north India this season were seamer friendly, not flat pattas and if pitches remain the same, it wont be easy for even him to score easily.

I dont understand how that will help SA tour. Test series at home will still be played on flat wickets or turning tracks. I dont know if performances in such conditions will guarantee success in vastly different conditions in SA.
