NareshK Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 I'm really surprised their batsmen havent dug in and scored 450 in at least one innings. That always happens in every series in India whether we are winning or not because scoring always tends to become easy once batsmen get set and get used to the pace and bounce of the wicket. Apart from the first innings of first test where Clarke and Henriques scored runs, they have looked completely clueless.
G_B_ Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 yup was one of the bright sparks for pune in the IPL. I still have my doubts about him facing the english attack

They are never known for attritional cricket. If they try to be over-defensive they eventually mess it up. Especially after 2000 their approach completely changed. It kinda plays into our hands. England and South Africa will grind if needed. THey also have the skills to grind.
Crookbond Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 He has a nice balance and will do well against spin but will struggle against seam/swing bowling.
Sachin=GOD Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 Now that Fineleg has spoken in his favor, I would be surprised if he makes a big score tomorrow..
CoverDrive Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 He is a very talented batsmen and overrated bowler. His debut innings against pak in eng against pak was a class act
King Khan Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 He been underrated this long due to his inclusion thru hyper t20. imo He is Australia's future. Very useful talented youngstar. May even can get chance for captaincy after Clarkey era.
SLICKR392 Posted March 15, 2013 Author Posted March 15, 2013 He looked determined and is a decent player against spin. Also this pitch is no way as had as it was in the 1st 2 test matches.
Pagalpanti Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 To succeed in tough conditions having just "good technique" wont help you. Case in point Ponting, he has just 1 century to show for his 4 trips to India and failed against spinners most of the time. But on same pitches Sehwag has murdered best attacks. Like Hayden and Gavaskar said you need to have a still head to play the ball and a good hand eye co-ordination.

If Viru was born in Austrlia and Ponting in India, he might very well have played like Ponting played spinners in India and India could have possibly been a great player of spin if he was born and brought up in India.
NareshK Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 How do you see the match going from here ? Do you think there is enough time in the test for a result ? Already 1 day got washed out because of rain. Can India get a good lead and bowl out Australia in next 3 days ?
I6MTW Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 Unless we see some fast batting and quick aussie collapse then most likely draw.
Vivek.S.123 Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 Draw. Which means India will still remain at #4 in the rankings!
cowboysfan Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 aussies will probably score another 50 runs.We need to bat out 5 sessions with a lead of atleast 200 and hope the aussies collapse in the last day,in other words the draw is most likely.
Ultimate_Game Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 Draw. Which means India will still remain at #4 in the rankings! If we are ranked any higher it will only embarrass us.
Crookbond Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 If we throw the bait, the Aussies should take it.
