saneindian Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 Why was Dinda's selection wrong? The guy took 60+ FC wickets last season and took a 7-er in the Duleep Trophy earlier this season. How can you discard him without giving him any opportunity? Can't do worse than Ishant or Bhajji.

tweaker Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 It is very sorry state of affair to see Bhuvneshwar Kumar as our pace spherehead.Ishant Sharma bowling alongside him and Ashod Dinda in the reserve.This combination looks bad than Zimbabwe bowling attack.If Zaheer Khan is fit he can directly bowl in a test match.In England Praveen kumar was our opening bowlers.

In any case, if he's good enough to be in the squad, you cannot discard him without giving him an opportunity.
tweaker Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 Instead of basking in glory of win in 2nd test ,the indian selectors should make some severe changes in the squad to avoid complamency and to create a pressure for every spot.there r many spots to be filled.there is still place for opening position,fast bowling allrounder, fast bowler leg spinner,reserve wicket keeper.We have to find a batsman who will bat at no 4 when Sachin Tendulkar retires.

Jaffer is actually a perfect candidate for being a stop-gap opener: he has technique, he has played international cricket before and he's been piling on the runs in domestic cricket, thus high on confidence.
