LoL. Two wickets of Jadeja's three are 9th and 10th when Ashwin didn't bowl. Both are average spinners. Ranking may go for a toss. Don't care. Ashwin at least has a reason --- sports hernia. Jadeja has been a lifelong average bowler.

Ashwin bowled brilliantly on day two.  He lost a bit yesterday. There was one end that assisted bowlers a bit more.

Those who are simply watching the scorecard won't understand how many times Ashwin bamboozled the Lankans. Must have beaten them at least 30 times with some unplayable ones. Towards the end he started experimenting too much because he was frustrated with the wickets column.

Ash still needs to get in rhythm after the injury. I would judge him after the series is done, rather than after the first innings.

he is letting his ODI form( or lack of it) get to him, he just needs to bowl the way he did first few sessions.

Jadeja is getting consistent turn these days even on flattish tracks.

 

And it is fast turn with bounce, the dangerous type.
