ravishingravi Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 Yes you lost but you fought. The 2nd test could have gone either way and you had your moments. In spite of the gulf between the sides, you showed great spirit. Not many sides can compete with SA at the moment, esp. in SA. India certainly can't
Gambit Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 South Africa were stretched but that's it and that was because Kallis was given out when not and Morkel was injured in the 2nd innings. Excuses like 'Great spirit' and moral victories are for teams and fans looking for something to make the loss seem less painful. Pakistan, as expected, have been thrashed yet again in an away series. They have won just 1 (against NZ) of their last 11 series away from home against the top 8 teams.
NareshK Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 It was a flat sub continent type track and their batsmen mostly failed despite the fact that there was little help for seam bowlers and also Morkel being injured for 2nd innings. Their bowling also looked toothless other than Chuckmal getting wickets because there was turn.
Sean Bradley Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 There was nothing appluadable about this defeat...they have a mediocre batting line up...even worse than NZ and Bangladesh, an ageing captain, and a bowling line up that would make our trundlers look legends.
shuraim Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 we are still better than india, and yes another 4-0 await,
game_changerr Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 we are still better than india' date='and yes another 4-0 await,[/quote'] still ur zaka come with begging bowls
Needforspeed Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 we are still better than india' date='and yes another 4-0 await,[/quote'] Last time India played there it was 1-1.
Sarkar Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 we are still better than india' date='and yes another 4-0 await,[/quote'] Another test defeat you will be placed Below Under India in test rankings after all test cricket was was real deal for you guys now that wont be nothing to talk about india are no.1 odi team world champions where as you guys are once in a green moon team.
philcric Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 You guys are kidding, right ? Going into the 4th day, Pak had a 50% chance of winning the test. How many times did that happen when we were walloped 0-8 in Eng and Aus? We pretty much were out of the game in 2 days in most of those matches. Not liking Pak forummers or Pak team is one thing, but totally discrediting a good performance by an underdog team against in-arguably the best team in the world on their own turf reeks of bias, immaturity and total lack of credibility. I absolutely enjoyed the test, good fightback from both the teams when batting, good seam bowling, and Ajmal. 50-75 more runs by Pak in the 2nd innings,, the test would probably have ended as a classic.
kubrickian Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 ^^ The test seemed like a good contest for a while but only because the track was not a typical SA pitch. Only Ajmal did the damage among Pak bowlers. Among their batting, there were a couple of good partnerships but they also lost 33/4 in 1st innings and 6 wickets for 22 runs in 2nd innings with an old ball and even with Morkel not bowling. So what's there to applaud ?
SLICKR392 Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 we are still better than india' date='and yes another 4-0 await,[/quote'] Sure :giggle: Even Loins managed to draw series.
shuraim Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 Last time India played there it was 1-1. forget past
SLICKR392 Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 forget past Why? Just because you failed and we succeeded?
JaFanatic Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 forget past yes will it be a 3-0 or 2-0 :hmmm:
Asim Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 Excluding Abdul Rehman on this track was one huuge mistake... Ajmal was only required one bowler to stop leaking runs from other end...
SLICKR392 Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 Excluding Abdul Rehman on this track was one huuge mistake... Ajmal was only required one bowler to stop leaking runs from other end... Tanvir Ahmed's selection still doesn't make any sense.
panther Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 Very difficult day for world cricket, you can offer your condolences in this thread first time we have lost fair and square.

How can you conclude this team would not win ? Writing the team off like that reeks of loser mentality. Last time India went there, they drew 1-1. That's what you go by and not hypothetical scenarios.
