GautiMaan Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 Its too late now to groom a middle order bat for SA,he has to tour now that he's played the home season. Best case scenario-He scores runs and acts as a motivational figure for the youngsters to rally around like the in the world cup.
adi B Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 Tendulkar is undroppable. Averages 32 over the last two years and 19 tests' date=' skipped a test series to prefer the IPL, has no centuries, is 40 years old, but Tendulkar and Dhoni are not going to be dropped regardless of how many crap performances they put in.[/quote'] why would they, sachin praises dhoni, srini loves dhoni hence safe
Ultimate_Game Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 We have already missed the boat with Tendulkar. If Tendulkar had to be dropped and a new guy blooded in the team, it had to happen now or earlier. After Aus series, if Tendulkar retires or is dropped, a newbie will have to debut in SA instead of being eased into the setup at home before the tough SA tour.

Asim Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 THE ALL TIME World BEST Opener EVER in The History of Test Cricket (as most of ICF comparisons and ratings says) got DROPPED from his national Squad :omg: that too in middle of home series :omg: The Most tragic day in the history of Test Cricket...

It is tragic day indeed my friend and a great day for you guys to rejoice as he is the one guy who creamed your bowlers and bashed them into submission even in your backyard.

Kya Asim Miyaan jale par namak chhidak rahe ho. The Indian test team is a disaster and so is the long term future of Indian cricket. But I doubt Sehwag was ranked as the best opener in test history even on ICF. I am a big Sehwag proponent, so take it with a pinch of salt but I can only think of Gavaskar, Hobbs, Hutton as being clearly better than him with Sutcliffe and Greenidge being roughly equal to him. So if not the best, he certainly has the credentials to be among the top 5.

I6MTW Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 2014 Will be the year of comeback for Viru. He will score he 3rd triple century that year.

Raghav_12 Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 Can you guys name one poster who has been banned from the site or even given warnings for criticizing/praising a particular cricketer? I take this seriously because the main motivation for this site was that users should not feel administrative handicaps while expressing opinions on cricketers. how my post is related to banning and not-banning or anyway related to administrative stuff?
The Outsider Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 how my post is related to banning and not-banning or anyway related to administrative stuff? I believe I misread your and Sachin=God's posts. Apologies.

Batate chalein, what has he done in the last 2 years since the WC and why it is wrong to say anything against him if he is not performing?
CSK Fan Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 Thats why what VVS did was admirable unlike Sachin who once he got his 100th ton just quit odis' date=' [b']in essence he just was playing odis to get that 100th century. He was still playing tests so he could gotten that ton in tests too. And people talk about Sachin fans going over the top when we have to put up with such cr@p. Yeh bolded part apko sapne mai aaya tha ya kissi astrologer ne apka hath dekh kar bola tha ki beta, go and mouth the first nonsense which comes out of your mouth? Sachin took a long hard look at himself, discussed with the selectors and mutally decided he is not going to continue till world cup 2015 so better rertire. He has said this, selectors have said this, but yet you come up with the bolded part? We have already missed the boat with Tendulkar. If Tendulkar had to be dropped and a new guy blooded in the team' date=' it had to happen now or earlier. After Aus series, if Tendulkar retires or is dropped, a newbie will have to debut in SA instead of being eased into the setup at home before the tough SA tour.[/quote'] And Sachin scoring runs now has kind of proved that dropping him might have been wrong and that he still has it in him. His footwork is still one of the best in the team and he is scoring runs. But wait, scoring runs is not important anymore, its how soon you can drop someone just because he is senior
