Pagalpanti Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 Hopefully we go back to the 7 batsmen 4 bowler formula. Bhajan' date=' Jaddu , Sehwag out, Ojha, Rahane, Dhawan in. [/quote'] People still hating on Jadeja while he's easily been our 2nd best bowler. :headshake:
GautiMaan Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 People still hating on Jadeja while he's easily been our 2nd best bowler. :headshake: Not hating man,if it truly isnt a spinning wicket then we might be better off playing a specialist batsman instead of jaddu scratching around at no.7
Lord Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 Not hating man' date='if it truly isnt a spinning wicket then we might be better off playing a specialist batsman instead of jaddu scratching around at no.7[/quote'] why not play a specialist batsman ahead of King Ishant?
GautiMaan Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 why not play a specialist batsman ahead of King Ishant? Then who will partner Bhuvan:hmmm:?
Trundler27 Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 Then who will partner Bhuvan:hmmm:? Kohli Harris
saket123 Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 It'll be interesting to see how our bowlers, especially spinners do on this wicket. This will be a true test to Jadeja and what he can accomplish with the bowl. If Sachin doesn't score a century in this test.. I think he should bow out.
Pagalpanti Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 ^ If he manages a good score and get out why should it matter any less? He was in terrific form in 1st test, was unlucky to get out to a bad ball in this test.
vvvslaxman Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 Aussies these days are super FTBs. Pitch has to have something. A fast pitch for INdia is as good as flat pitch for opposition. In addition our batsmen will be in a disadvantageous position.
urbestfriend Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 Jaddu is all right. It will be a super flat pitch which means our top 6 batters can make merry, no need to change the team except St the top I.e. rahane for viru.
Sandeep99 Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 With the series almost in the pocket, time to test ourselves...how far have we really come!
Sidhoni Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 That was expected. Mohali normally is suited for pacers. So, Dhawan for Sehwag, Rahane for Bhajji?
diga Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 That was expected. Mohali normally is suited for pacers. So, Dhawan for Sehwag, Rahane for Bhajji? are our 2 pacers + 2 spinners ( who are yet to prove themselves on tracks not helping spin) enough for mohali?
Sidhoni Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 are our 2 pacers + 2 spinners ( who are yet to prove themselves on tracks not helping spin) enough for mohali? Ash and Jaddu have to play. You can't drop them on any basis whatsoever. The 2 pacers, Bhuvi is good but I think Shami would have been a much better choice than Ishant.
SLICKR392 Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 Hopefully we go back to the 7 batsmen 4 bowler formula. Bhajan' date=' Jaddu , Sehwag out, Ojha, Rahane, Dhawan in. [/quote'] 4 bowlers have always backfired us.
SLICKR392 Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 Unlucky and Bhajan need to make way for Shami and Ojha. Not gonna happen : Dhobi :finger: There is no Shami in the squad.
rkt.india Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 Mohali is one of the worst pitch for spinners in India in domestic cricket. If it plays like it did in Ranji trophy, spinners are not going make much difference.
saneindian Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 4 bowlers have always backfired us. Hain? In our test history probably 90% of the matches we have played has been with 4 bowlers! Even under Dhoni, matches were we went with 5 bowlers will be a small number.
