Pujara, Dhawan, Vijay- which of the three should be the ODI opener?

In the test series, he has played shots all around the ground and its way tougher to score runs in tests than in ODIs. ODIs are basically played on flat tracks where bowlers are defensive and field placements are defensive. He just has to be lot more selective in shot making.
In Tests he was able to bide his time and wait for the loose balls. He didn't have the range of strokes which Dhawan or Pujara had. Vijay would perish if he were to score at a quick rate.

Yuvi is the AR.
too risky.need another bowling option.no.7 would hardly get to bat with our top 6.plus we have Ashwin,BK too which makes up for that 7th batsman. dont need Rahane

People who have seen Vijay play and followed him in past couple of years know he has terrific range of shots and is just playing very very safe in tests in Odi he can play attacking easily but hopefully not loose, in SA and Australia the only thing u need to remember is no fishing outside off, hit the loose balls and shots on back foot over defensive after first 10 overs could hurt u

He won't .. the games you were mentioning about came at a time when he was not in a great form. He was nervous in those times and it showed. He has improved a lot through all aspects of the game and I hope he carries that into the LOIs too. We will however have to wait and see him in this IPL to decide whether he can do better or not in LOIs.
