For how long media can keep on ignoring such news?

Ignoring what news? The ruling party has fostered an atmosphere of mistrust and violence which is exactly what they wanted. Who are you exactly trying to blame here and why?

Do you think we were all born yesterday and do not know that every time BJP comes to power communal violence from both sides break out?

Why is media always protecting "certain community" ? Why not state the actions of these innocent and peaceful Muslims for everyone to judge just like all the other news? where is all the twitter outrage? where is all the outrage from the so called intellectuals?

1) I can point 100s of instances when hindu violence was not portrayed in media

2) Do you really lack the common sense to know why in every country violence against minority is highlighted more? For the simple fact that if the country get riled up, the entire Muslim population can be wiped in a day. The holocaust happened because negative news against a minority was spread. Bad news against majority is a check point for the country. A necessity to keep it's power in check. Bad news against minority can result in extermination

Of course some sections would want this to happen and violence against a certain section of society

There is no doubt that communal sections from both sides are out to spread disharmony in the country. However, I am surprised that even educated people on this thread do not understand why media in every country try to stop spreading of negativity against a minority. Because majority being riled up can completely break our country into pieces. There is no bigger power than the power of a mob.

Also people jump up and down that Hindus are discriminated against. Can you name a single hindu leader who is jail currently for instigating violence or riots? What discrimination are these guys talking about

Every communal incident happens due to provocation. Someone at work to rile up people, mostly politicians with vested interests whether Muslim or Hindu. Why would normal people go and murder someone eating anything at his home until they are provoked, why will people stonepelt a procession until they are riled up by someone.

This is weird imagination 200 million cannot be wiped out in single day

Our msm is so pathetic that I have stopped watching it and the debates for a good 3-4 months now.every time you open the news ,there's either a secular-communalism debate or anti hindu news.

India is a massive country and these things (fight, killings over communal divide) have been going on for decades and in a large scale in small towns/villages irrespective of the government at the centre but the media always nitpick these news when the right wing party comes into power because the soul of the English msm in india has a centre-left for decades.when the other community does the same the msm goes AWOL!!

Hardly any intriguing news shown nowadays(fully knowing that there are larger and bigger news to be shown) ,same old communal rss-bjp blah blah!!

Continuing his trend of raising a furore with controversial statements, Uttar Pradesh Minority Welfare Minister Azam Khan advised an alleged rape victim who had come to him seeking help, to not go looking for 'fame and attention' for her 'disgrace' or else she won't be able to face the world with dignity.

Khan made his new shocker on Thursday while addressing a 'Ganga ki Pukaar' programme here after the victim and her lawyer, following an arduous struggle, failed to meet with him.

"No one is paying any heed to our problems. We have been here since morning and have been trying really hard to meet with the minister. But the corrupt police and administration have been hell bent on ensuring that we are not able to reach him. We were not allowed to meet him," the victim's advocate told the media here as she was flanked by officials and police women.

According to the lawyer, her client's case has been registered on 27th July and she has been trying to seek justice since then.

The woman who has allegedly been raped also expressed her helplessness and anger at not being able to meet with Azam Khan.

Khan, who later heard of the chaos outside the venue of his speech, referred to the case in his address saying he had been notified of her plea and was sure it was quite 'serious'.

"I will take her memorandum and go ahead but she sure has gained publicity now. Her complaint is clearly in connection to the disgrace she is facing but if she goes around spreading the incident that happened with her, how will she face the world", Khan said.

Hitting out at the UP minister for his remark, senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaderLaxmikant Bajpai said the statement was a blatant insult to women everywhere.

"Why are Mulayam Singh and Akhilesh Yadav not taking his statement into consideration and taking action? His statements are hurting the party's image yet they remain silent. If Akhilesh has any respect for women he will take action against Azam," Bajpai told ANI.

Azam Khan had earlier raised a storm with this remark that 'mobile phones' were responsible for rape of minors saying misuse of these gadgets by the younger generation has led to an alarming rise in such cases.

How come we don't see bigger outrage on these statements, Samajwadi party spokesperson yesterday was saying that unline BJP they don't disown Azam khan's comments. " Chhatti thok kar kahate hain ki yeh Azam khan ne kaha hai"
