someone Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 Very disappointed by the commentaries this season. I mean in terms of their lack of knowledge and little insights. I expect these highly paid individuals to at least prepare for their matches by researching the teams and the players. Yet, they offer little substance and make some stupid and wrong points. Such as how some players are playing their first IPL (which is wrong), they do not know if some players are a batsman or bowlers. At then one offered a poor reason for why certain teams are playing well which is because they have had easy matches and not played the hard matches. That's some poor professionalism.

Ajay Jadeja still believes batting second means pressure for batsmen. Has he not been watching cricket for the last 10 years, teams have been chasing well big scores in even ODIs and tests. And 20-20's it's the bowlers who are under more pressure than batsmen, and bowling second is more difficult most of the time. Gavaskar still believes chasing 8 runs per over 'right from the start' is always going to be tough for the chasing team, irrespective of how batting of a beauty the wicket is. And if the team batting first scores 145, he'd still say the same,, replacing 8 by 7.

One is seen as a boring commentator while here it is about lack of homework done from them. At least these commentators should get their facts rite. It's irresponsible of them for not knowing information of the teams and the players. Try harder next time.:giggle:
