maniac Posted May 7, 2013 Author Posted May 7, 2013 Why not go out. We may like true soldiers but not on some Stupid rule :giggle: But that's 1 in a million chance...we are going all the way with this baby
vvvslaxman Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 LOL @ OT :hysterical: yo.. saw the movie Diamond Necklace.. pleasantly surprised. Nice movie.
bulbul Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 We may like true soldiers but not on some Stupid rule :giggle: But that's 1 in a million chance...we are going all the way with this baby To where? Hussain sagar?
Crookbond Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Another Nerdy advice...why not a bowl out :--D You want a simpler one? How about winning some MATCHES?
bulbul Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 You want a simpler one? How about winning some MATCHES? If you win matches by 5 or 10 runs NRR will be low.
kubrickian Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 OP is getting the jitters as his team may get knocked out because of NRR. :hehe:
I6MTW Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 I wonder if 6 teams are stuck with 10 wins then how are they going to decide who's going through?
vvvslaxman Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 You want a simpler one? How about winning some MATCHES? He knows his team can't win much outside Hyderabad lol
bulbul Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 I wonder if 6 teams are stuck with 10 wins then how are they going to decide who's going through? From Cricinfo 21.9.2 Where teams have an equal number of points their relative positions shall be determined by the following: •a. the team with the most wins in matches in the League during the season will be placed in the higher position; •b. if there are teams with equal points and equal wins during the season, then in such case the team with the higher net run rate (as calculated in clause 21.11 below) will be placed in the higher position; •c. if following the net run rate calculation above there are teams which are still equal, then the team with the higher number of wickets taken per balls bowled in the matches played that season in which results were achieved will be placed in the higher position; •d. if still equal at the end of the regular season then the team position will be determined by drawing lots.
maniac Posted May 7, 2013 Author Posted May 7, 2013 He knows his team can't win much outside Hyderabad lol Why do people keep saying that...it's not like the members of the team have grown up there...the team players have as much exposure to Hyderabad as CSK players or Mumbai players
maniac Posted May 7, 2013 Author Posted May 7, 2013 ^^I think I like the team taking more wickets rule...that should be above the NRR rule
vvvslaxman Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 ^^I think I like the team taking more wickets rule...that should be above the NRR rule Let us see whether SRH will even get to a situation where they merely lose out on NRR or points.
Old guy Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 i like head to head record rule more and if even that is a tie then nrr should be used
JourneyMan Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Forget NRR, we just need our batsmen to show up and SRH will take the trophy home.
maniac Posted May 7, 2013 Author Posted May 7, 2013 Forget NRR' date=' we just need our batsmen to show up and SRH will take the trophy home.[/quote'] Agree.....Also need to give credit to the local youngsters like Vihari etc for stepping up to the challenge :two_thumbs_up: But still sad that it has come to this...Hope at the end of this phase...we go through on wins
JourneyMan Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Agree.....Also need to give credit to the local youngsters like Vihari etc for stepping up to the challenge :two_thumbs_up: But still sad that it has come to this...Hope at the end of this phase...we go through on wins Vihari is looking good and Ashish Reddy has had some decent knocks as well. To be honest after last season, anything would be a bonus this season. Just a little improvement from the batsmen could take us a long way though! I hope the madrasis get taken to school tomorrow. Last time we almost got them at their home ground.
SLICKR392 Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 yo.. saw the movie Diamond Necklace.. pleasantly surprised. Nice movie. Nice..that actor is pretty good.
yoda Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 i like head to head record rule more and if even that is a tie then nrr should be used I agree. Points, H2H, then NRR.
Mariyam Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 someone please explain duckworth lewis method Its very simple. If rain interrupts a cricket game, some random IItain from the crowd( read motor-mouth Harsha Bhogle) is blindfolded asked to use a barge pole and randomly hit buttons on a kirana merchant's calculator from a distance of 42 feet. What ever is on the display of the calculator is what the batting team have to make in the remaining overs.
