If you are bowling at 150 km/hr' date=' swinging in and out, getting the batsman with sharp bouncer, bowling long spells, destroying batting attacks in all conditions, then your action must be good[/quote'] How? :dontknow: One will be effective, best etc. but not necessarily have a good action. People with good actions may not be best as well.

yes' date=' but I have seen the videos and read about them :--D[/quote'] videos can be good but still i cant really compare to live performance and reading i have seen lot of hype and lot of criticism of even current players imo there is always bit of bias and people hype cricketers of old a lot .. so i dont really talk about these cricketers much there are manyy people on this site who have seen them :D

From what I've seen Pace bowlers: Donald, Pollock, Kallis, Wasim, Imran, Ambrose, Marshall and McGrath. Kallis the best. Medium pacers: Vaas, Dominic Cork, Franklyn Rose, Kapil Dev. Vaas and Kapil are the best. Spinners: Herath, Warne, Swann, Aravinda de Silva, Venkathapathy Raju. Raju and de Silva were flawless with their actions.

Allan Donald, Imran Khan, Bret Lee, Zaheer Khan have the best action from what I have seen. As for most annoying action is concerned, I am not sure how many of you have seen Mohinder Amarnath bowling, his runup, action, release, follow through, oh man it was highly irritating.

Good List except for Desilva who doesn't belong there....I can list Hooper there too but they both are part-time Lollipop bowlers who were ok for what it's worth in LOI

We are just talking of aesthetics of the action. De Silva was a part timer but had one of the best actions for an off break bowler. I suspect you must have not seen him with the ball.

I have but just didn't care as he was just a part-timer....You are probably a srilankan and may be you focussed on every aspect of every player from your country, but the rest of the world just didn't care about Desilva's bowling. It is equivalent of me quoting some no-name Ranji bowler and inserting him into this list just because I thought he had an elegant action

He had a simple action but not pleasing to the eye.
