'I am innocent' - Sreesanth

Recommended Posts

Why dont the Police release the tape of conversation to the media ? If tomorrow Sachin asks for a change of gloves in middle of an over, will the Police claim that it was a Signal to the bookies that hes going to do as per the deal ? And how Police was able to catch the plan on phone in advance a day before the match ?

Sree might just be correct as well. The police have so far no direct evidence against him but rather some poor guesses. It's been a poor investigation case by the police and imo, the implications are large and for everyone. This kind could happen to anyone.

Do the police need to prove case in court or to the media for your entertainment?

Perhaps, police needs to make their case stronger instead of talking of how they are so great and run for credit. The way these got bailed tells a story of how badly managed this case is through some poor assumptions. And BCCI made their decision based on those assumptions.

It's not difficult to get bail in India for even much more serious crimes, let alone spot fixing And for BCCI those assumptions are enough. They banned Azher and Jadeja (particularly the later) on much lesser proof

The legal bar is always higher' date=' but the BCCI could have suspended them pending investigation and handed out the life bans once it is proven in court that they did indeed fix.[/quote'] As I said, even in the past they have banned for lesser evidence. Why should the court evidence have any bearing on the ban? Talking to a bookie is not a court offfence but it is defnitely bannable (if not reported) under both ICC and BCCI court. What does court ruling have to do with any misconduct procedure?

Unless he is seriously danger to society and a flight risk getting a bail is not difficult. Spotfixing may be a big crime in cricket. Not elsewhere.

In BCCI books they do. There was no proof of Jadeja actually fixing anything, even spot fixing. He was banned just on the basis of his conversations with bookies. And here I am sure they have at least circumstancial evidence against Sreesanth which led to the life ban. Can you tell me why Sree was given a life ban while some others were given only 5 years?
