Muloghonto Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 Never been to a southern hill station. In the north, from where i've been, I'd say Gangtok is easily the best, followed by Manali. Simla looked nice, had a lot of amenities and stuff but it just didnt feel as awesome as Gangtok and Manali. Did not like the Uttarakhand hill stations. Kashmir was picturesque (Pahalgaon) but i'd still rather be in Gangtok.
Muloghonto Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 I have visited Tawang. The facilities are absolutely minimal, but the views are breathtaking. Reminder: You might be asked to show a permit to enter Arunachal Pradesh though. Can you enter AP if you are a PIO and a former citizen of India ?
